More Progress News

Hello again,

Unfortunately it's bad news this time. I've been struggling to get the content implemented for the side quest area which I mentioned in the previous release, and so it's looking like this next version is going to take a while longer to get finished than I'd planned. I'll do my best to get this version released as soon as I can, but there are some aspects to this new content which are giving me some trouble.

As a result, v0.4.2 won't be out this weekend. I'll make another progress post on Tuesday to let you know how things are going. Sorry about this delay; I should have just stuck to the original plan of adding the shopping precinct area to Elis for this version, instead of adding this other new area as part of it.

Progress News

Hello again,

This is just another small post to let you know how things are progressing towards v0.4.2's release.

So, since the last post, I've been working on adding the shopkeepers to the shopping precinct in Elis. I decided to add a small side quest for one of these shopkeepers, and as part of that, I've ended up having to add a new area outside of Elis, along with some standalone content for it outside of this Elis-related side quest.

Adding content for this new area has taken longer than I expected, so I'll have to push the expected date of v0.4.2's release back by a few days. As such, I'm now expecting to have this public release out on the evening of this Saturday (28th).

I'll make another post on Thursday to let you know how things are going, so I'll see you again then.

Plan for v0.4.2

Hello again,

This is just a short post to let you all know what I'm working on for the next update, and how long it's likely going to be until it's released.

So, for my plan for v0.4.2, I'm mainly going to be focusing on just two key things:
1. Fixing bugs and making sure that the game is in as stable a state as possible
2. Adding content for the shopping precinct 'Wall's End' in Elis

I've already made progress on both of these key objectives, and so I'm hoping to have v0.4.2 released some time around the middle of next week. I'll make another update post on Monday to let you know how things are going.

Version 0.4.1.5 Progress Update (Preview Build)

Hello once again,

As mentioned in the previous update, this version has been focused mainly on fixing bugs, merging PRs, and getting the next stage of the main quest added. As part of the PR merging, some content for the character of Felicia (Arthur's neighbour) has been added (thanks to Rick Docket and DSG).

I'm going to move on to getting more of Elis's content added for the next public release, which I hope to have out within a week or two. I'll make a progress post early next week, so I'll see you all again then!



I package and release these in-between preview builds for backers over on my SubscribeStar, but anyone can play them at any time by building them directly from the public github (which is always kept up to date with the very latest version):

IMPORTANT: If you're building through github, you'll now need to place the 'liliths-throne-public/res' folder in the same directory as the exported .jar!

v0.4.1.5 Patch Notes

Contributors:

  • Added Felicia (Arthur's neighbour) as a unique character who can be met after completing the first stage of the main quest (more content for her will be added later). (by Rick Docket and DSG)

  • Added a new fetish preference menu to the options menu, which allows you to set values for influencing the fetishes and desires random NPCs will be generated with. (PR#1553 by Maxis)
  • Prevented patch notes from being run through the parsing engine, which was occasionally causing null pointer exceptions. (PR#1567 by Stadler76)
  • Removed the hasSexCountWith() method and replaced all of its uses with the getTotalTimesHadSex() method to fix issues with inconsistencies in dialogues. (PR#1568 by AceXP)
  • Added a new setting for outfit files which makes it possible to apply an outfit to an entire region (i.e. collection of world types). (PR#1569 by AceXP)
  • Created a new character class for slaves which can be bought in Slaver Alley, thereby fixing an issue where slaves generated while the player was not in Dominion/Submission would be of unexpected race types. (PR#1570 by AceXP)
  • Removed unnecessary copy when accessing the unique item count of an inventory, greatly reducing inventory lag and load on the garbage collector. (PR#1573 by AtelierAmber)
  • NPCs will no longer perform orgasm reactions or denials in response to the player orgasming when the player is hidden. (PR#1578 by AceXP)
  • If a corruptive action is bypassed by fetish, the pink '!' icon will now be recoloured to grey to signify that no corruption will be gained. (PR#1583 by CognitiveMist)
  • When the player does not have enough flames to use 'Buy (All)', but has enough to buy at least one item, the game will now offer 'Buy (Max NN)' in the 'Buy (All)' slot, where NN is the amount that will be purchased. (PR#1584 by CognitiveMist)
  • Fixed issue where characters that the player had never met were getting added to the contact list when loading a game. (by AceXP)
  • Fixed soft lock with the fields bandit encounter where if the bandit was willing to rape but not attracted to the player, no dialogue options would be given to continue the scene. (by AceXP)
  • Fixed an rare stack overflow error when loading a saved game in which the player had slaves or followers. (PR#1590 by Jtecx and CognitiveMist)

Engine/Modding:

  • Hair types now have a 'neckFluffChance' value to determine how likely they are to spawn with neck fluff (see the hyena's hair.xml file for a modding example).

Artwork:

  • Added artwork for Catherine (the Slime Queen), drawn by Jam (https://twitter.com/JamDrawers).

Gameplay:

  • Added the next stage of the main quest, where you meet Minotallys.

Body:

  • Added 'neck hair/fur' as a purely cosmetic transformation tied to a character's hair, which can be applied via potion or clothing TFs.
  • Chances to spawn with neck fur are: 25% for greater fox and wolf morphs, 100% for male lion morphs, 10% for greater female rabbit-morphs.

Clothing:

  • Added 'heavy gemstone ring' (finger slot, unisex, sold by Nyan). Also limited the default colours that these rings can spawn in with.

Other:

  • Added a 'Vestigial Multi-breast' content setting to the 'Body' category (on by default), which affects whether multiple rows of breasts are described as being 'vestigial' or 'one cup size smaller than the one above' in size.
  • Increased level of fields bandits from 5-10 to 10-20.
  • Added ability to reset your elemental's perks. (Action appears when viewing their perk screen.)

Bugs:

  • Parsing fixes.
  • Fixed bug where characters without hair could still be targeted for the 'Twintail pull' sex action.
  • Fixed bug in the 'Rogue Enforcer' quest, where completing the quest would sometimes lock you in a travel-disabled dialogue screen with no responses to choose from.
  • Fixed bug where some sex scenes with Scarlett, such as those encountered during Helena's romance quest, would never come to an end.
  • Bandits in the Foloi Fields will no longer remain on their tile if you escape from combat against them. Any bandits which have persisted on these tiles will be removed from your game upon loading into this version.
  • The racial transformative effects of the items from the three harpy bosses (the lollipops and perfume) will no longer work on characters whose race is immune to racial transformations.
  • Takahashi is now added to your phone's contacts list after meeting her. (She ill be added to your contacts when loading into this version if you are past the 'Destination Elis' section of the main quest.)
  • Fixed bug where the first stage of the status effect for wearing chastity clothing ('Forced chastity (calm)') would not be removed when removing the chastity clothing.
  • When encountering an Enforcer patrol, the actions to be searched will no longer incorrectly be coloured red and reference having your items confiscated if you are in possession of Elle's or Wes's contractor pass.
  • Elementals will no longer reset their inventories at the turn of midnight every day.
  • The player character's elemental will no longer have their level scaled to a higher value based on the game's difficulty.
  • Fixed issue where you could give your elemental infinite perks, and fixed a related issue where your elemental's perk screen was showing that they had 2 perk points available for the physical and arcane categories.
  • The 'Thigh squeeze' orgasm action can no longer be used by characters who don't have legs.
  • Fixed issue where Jhortax and Fyrsia would both be missing their weapons when (and if) you fought them in Meraxis's citadel.
  • Fixed issue where bandits in the fields were always being generated as females.
  • Dragon Draft consumables now restore the percentage of total health and aura which their tooltips say they will.
  • Fixed issue with NPCs' descriptions not being updated after freeing them from slavery.
  • Fixed issue where if you had companions enabled and started sex with one while there were NPCs present in the tile, the NPCs would be added as submissive spectators who could then be brought into the sex scene.

Plan for v0.4.2

Hello again,

This is just a small post to let you all know what my plans are for the next couple of weeks. I'm going to be working on v0.4.1.5 next, which will be a preview release, and then after that I'll be working on v0.4.2, which will be a full public release.

So, my plan for v0.4.1.5 is to get the following done:
- Fix bugs
- Merge PRs
- Add meeting with Minotallys
- Possibly some more Elis content

My goals for v0.4.1.5 are quite limited in scope as I'd like to get it released as soon as possible and then move on to v0.4.2, which will include the following:
- Main quest content after Minotallys meeting
- Elis shopping precinct content

Again, I'm going to keep the scope limited for v0.4.2, as I want to try and return to the old format of getting more versions released with relatively less content in them rather than putting out one larger update every few weeks. I'm roughly aiming on having v0.4.1.5 released early-to-mid next week, and after that's out, I'll give a rough estimate on when I'm expecting v0.4.2 to be ready.

Version 0.4.1.1 Release

Hello once again,

Sorry about how long it took me to get this update out; it should have been ready far sooner, but over the past couple of weeks I've been having some issues with lingering fatigue, which was impacting my work efficiency. Hopefully the worst of that is behind me now, and the next few updates will be released in a more timely fashion.

Anyway, for the content in this release, I've focused mainly on getting all of the unique NPCs in Elis's Farmer's Market added. Some of them will likely have their content expanded upon in the future, but hopefully they have enough to be interesting for the time being. I've also added generic bandit encounters in the Foloi Fields. These bandits have quite basic content, and unlike the random attackers in Dominion and Submission, they're not persistent, although they can be enslaved (in which case they do become persistent slaves owned by the player).

I'm going to focus on fixing bugs, merging PRs, and getting Minotallys's content added for the next version. The next release will be a preview version, provided that there's no need for a hotfix (in which case the hotfix will be a public one). I'm hoping to have that out quite soon, and then the next full public release will be out shortly after that.

I'll make another post in a couple of day's time to give you more details on what my plans will be.

Sex:

  • During sex scenes in which the sub has less control than the dom, dominant AI sex partners will no longer end sex early (i.e. before the subs are satisfied).
  • Loosened requirements a little for the sex actions 'Object to rough' and 'Request rough sex'.

Other:

  • Entering the Farmer's Market now places you at one of the four entry points instead of in the centre.
  • Clothing types can now be enchanted to have the 'vibration' and 'orgasm prevention' effects if it can be equipped into the groin, vagina, penis, anus, nipple, chest, nipple-piercing, cock-piercing, or vagina-piercing slots.
  • Added a tufted tail type for panther-morphs, which is now assigned to newly-spawned lion-morphs.
  • Added ability to perform the 'Quick sex' action in all of Astrai's and Vronti's sex scenes.
  • Added ability to resist post-defeat sex with random centauress encounters in the fields (only if noncon is turned on).
  • The price of potions and elixirs is now influenced by how many effects they have.

Bugs:

  • Fixed visibility of armpit fetishes in the phone's fetish menu being locked behind foot content instead of armpit content.
  • Characters without legs can no longer use the 'spread legs' sex action.
  • Ralph no longer has randomised personality traits.
  • The 'desperate for sex' status effect now correctly only displays during combat.
  • Fixed issue where the SLime Queen wasn't correctly spawning wearing her tiara.
  • Fixed parsing issues in Lilaya's kimono gift scenes.
  • Fixed modding issue where setting an NPC to use a parser tag which had been previously assigned to an NPC wouldn't update the reference, causing the parser tag to always point to the first NPC who was given the parser tag.
  • Fixed post-submissive sex with centaur marauder/raider displaying a blank dialogue screen.
  • Reformatted potion item effects tooltip to fix an issue where having lots of effects on a potion would overflow the tooltip.
  • Pregnant/non-pregnant versions of character artwork are now automatically updated to be used when applicable, instead of requiring a save+load to be shown.
  • Fixed issue with several elements in externally-defined sex managers not using their correct default values.
