Version 0.3.3.8 Release

Hello again!

This is the first public update which integrates Irbynx's combat PR, and as such, you will notice several changes in combat, as well as with NPCs' stats and perk trees. (More information in the patch notes below, and from the post about 0.3.3.6.)

I know combat isn't the main focus of the game, but it was getting to the point where it was impossible to balance, and I'd therefore never be able to offer players a challenge without making these changes. Clothing enchantments and permanent potion attributes were nerfed and removed, respectively, for the same reason - with practically unlimited upgrades on clothing/potions, it was impossible to even consider balancing combat.

While this update will now allow me to balance combat numbers and boss fights, I haven't had time to work my way through all of that yet (as all my time was spent on just implementing this new system), so the damage numbers are likely to be quite high. I'll get that addressed for the next update, and will also improve the difficulty settings soon.

As a lot of combat-related content was changed, there might be some issues/bugs. If there are any really serious ones, I'll try to get a hotfix out as soon as I can.

So long as there aren't any delays caused by a hotfix, I should have the next preview version, v0.3.3.10, out in one week's time (Friday 21st June), with the full version of v0.3.4 out the Friday after that (28th June). As all of these combat updates are now done (with just balancing of numbers left to do) I plan on focusing on content for the next update.

As always, you can also build these releases yourself from the public github (which is always kept up to date with the very latest version):
https://github.com/Innoxia/liliths-throne-public/tree/dev (There's a build tutorial here.)

IMPORTANT: If you're building through github, you'll need to place the 'liliths-throne-public/res' folder in the same directory as the exported .jar!

Version 0.3.3.8 patch notes:

  • Gameplay:
    • All characters (including yours) have had their perk trees reset/regenerated, due to new perks being added and the perk tree layout slightly changed.
Added 'enchantment stability' attribute, which determines how many points of modified attributes you're able to handle from your clothes or tattoos without incurring a penalty.
'Enchantment stability' starts at 10, and is increased by 1 per level, and can also be increased via new perks.
Rose briefly warns you about this enchantment stability in the final scene of the prologue.
Clothing, weapon, and tattoo enchantment limits have been increased to 100.
Added 'convincing requests' perk: Requests during sex are no longer denied by sadists or rough dominants.
Added 'object of desire' perk: All partners in sex require +1 orgasm before being satisfied.
Added 'arcane smith' perk: Halves arcane essence cost of enchanting weapons.
You can now enchant 'Angel's Nectar' into 'Angel's Purity', which allows you to permanently remove corruption.
  • Contributors:
    • Fixed appearance stating that slimes could fly. (PR#1165 by Stadler76)
Fixed issue where unicorn 'horns per row' were only being set if the character already had horns. (PR#1160 by Stadler76)
Fixed bug when randomly-spawned incubi in the dark alleyways would throw a background error when using some attacks. (PR#1172 by TheKingInYellow)
Fixed bug where if there were multiple horn types in the enchantment UI, clicking on each type would give a randomised horn type, instead of the selected one. (PR#1175 by Stadler76)
  • Norin's clothing contributions:
    • Added: 6 new hair accessory items: bobby pins; celtic barrette; dragonfly bobby pin; hair pins; scrunchie; hair sticks. (All in hair slot, sold by Nyan.)
Added: 4 new rose-themed piercing items: rose earrings; rose lip piercing; rose navel piercing; rose nose piercing. (In related piercing slots, sold by Kate.)
Added: 4 new sunflower-themed piercing items: sunflower earrings; sunflower lip piercing; sunflower navel piercing; sunflower nose piercing. (In related piercing slots, sold by Kate.)
Added: 8 new other piercing items: heart-shaped barbell; bat earrings; flower lip piercing; chained nipple rings; nipple rings; pentagram piercing; 'SEX' barbell; vertical hood piercing. (In related piercing slots, sold by Kate.)
  • DSG's clothing contributions:
    • Added: Men's leather jacket. (Over-torso slot, masculine, sold by Nyan.)
Added: Fox-patterned scarf. (Neck slot, no femininity requirements, sold by Nyan.)
  • Combat:
    • The spell 'Soothing Waters' now has an AP cost of 3.
Removed aura burn from performing melee attacks while under the effect of cloak of flames.
The special ability for the spell school of fire is no longer +2 fire damage on melee attacks. Instead, it unlocks mana burn, which allows you to cast fire spells at a cost of energy once your aura is depleted, at a cost of 1/4 the regular spell cost.
Removed damage multiplier based on level difference.
Removed a few final instances of the old resistance calculation being used.
Did some balancing of status effect and perk attribute bonuses (mainly reducig some resistance values here and there).
Block/Shielding values in combat can now go negative (and are thus displayed as greyed-out shield values in combat), so negative resistances actually mean something now.
All lust-damaging attacks now correctly apply 2xlust damage to energy and 1x lust damage to aura when the target's lust is at 100.
  • Slavery:
    • Added a four slave capacity upgrade to the rooms in Lilaya's home.
The double and quadruple capacity room upgrades now have a minor obedience drain associated with them (to represent slaves conspiring with one another against you).
The 'Double size bed' upgrade is now described as each slave getting their own double-size bed, instead of them sharing one in double capacity rooms.
  • Other:
    • Randomly generated NPCs have a 50% chance to spawn with a minor background perk unlocked (to boost their physique, corruption, or arcane). Your slaves/occupants might gain one of these perks when you load in (reloading won't change results).
Added 'autosave frequency' setting to the content options screen.
Added an outfit file for harpy nest attackers, as well as for clubbers in 'The Watering Hole', so their outfits will no longer be completely random.
Added 'unique sex partners', 'cum in womb', 'cum in ass', 'cum in stomach', and 'value as slave' tattoo counter types.
Added notifications to event log for: area transitions; items/clothing/weapons dropped, used, and bought/sold; clothing/weapons dyed/reforged; weapons equipped/unequipped; clothing equipped/unequipped; money/essences gained/lost; experience gained; level ups.
Added a 'RIGID_MATERIAL' item tag, so that modders can define clothing as being unsuitable to be groped through. This has been applied to chastity cages and chastity belts, which both now block groping sex actions.
The Western KKP can now be recoloured.
Added 'desaturated brown' as a clothing/weapon colour.
Added 'Dye all (stack)' and 'Dye all' actions to the clothing & weapon dye menu.
Jinxed clothing status effect now gives +10 corruption, instead of -5 aura.
      Increased levels of: Rental mommy by 5; Meraxis by 5; Candi by 4; Brax by 4; Amber by 3;
  • Bugs:
    • Fixed typos/parsing errors.
Imported characters (either as a new player character or as slaves) now have both their unique quest items, and their concealed race status removed.
Fixed bug where sex would freeze/crash if you unrestricted your partner's control.
To fix an issue where NPCs would choose boring sex actions, NPCs' foreplay and main sex preferences are now recalculated when you unrestrict their control, as well as when you permit them to take positioning actions.
Fixed issues in debug transformation menu, where some body colours were displayed as slime colours, and other transformation options were limited as though it was the regular transformation menu.
Fixed lust gains for NPCs who were receiving anal penetration being affected by their preference for performing anal.
Possibly fixed the cause of not being able to use positioning actions when playing as a taur. (I was unable to replicate this bug, but fixed a potential cause for it.)
Fixed 'lustful suggestion' and 'calming suggestion' sex actions applying their effects to the wrong target.
Fixed issue where you could get stuck at 99 arousal in sex, and never be able to reach orgasm.
Tooltips for actions in sex should no longer display 'available' when that action is disabled.
Penis size preferences should now correctly be taken into account in all instances of penis generation.
Fixed weapon and clothing names resetting when equipped.
Added indication to imperial fluid measurements for when a value is close to, but not exactly, 0.
Fixed issue with unique NPCs dropping their clothes after sex if you cummed on them.
Fixed similar bug where NPCs would not replace their clothing properly after sex if you cummed on them.
Fixed issue where muggers could spawn in as ambiphilic, even if you had ambiphilic set to 0% chance in the options. (Prostitutes still spawn in as ambiphilic until I can add orientation-based dialogue variations.)
Characters' clits now get lubricated by girlcum at the same time as their vagina do.
Fixed missing ongoing text for tribbing tooltip.
The requirement of having the now-removed 'Brawler' trait in Fyrsia's imp fortress encounter has been replaced with the requirement of having the 'martial artist' trait.
Characters who spawn in the nightclub will no longer have unsuitable jobs assigned to them (such as 'slime queen', 'arcane elemental', or 'elder lilin').
Fixed issues with receiving handjobs not being available while being penetrated anally.
Characters can no longer start tribbing while fucking someone's ass.
Fixed some minor logical errors in dialogue when inviting your offspring to come and live with you.
NPCs will no longer remove their partner's 'sex toy' clothing during sex, unless that sex toy is blocking an area that they are focusing on. (e.g. They will no longer remove strapless dildos unless they want access to your vagina.)
Tattoos with custom names will no longer have the enchantment-related name endings appended to them.
Fixed clothing cleaning cum text referring to the clothing being inserted into the associated orifice, even if the clothing was not an insertable item.
Lilaya now smacks the vixen's virility pill out of your hand if you try to give her one.
NPCs will now only remove shoes if they have a positive desire towards the associated foot fetish (either giving or receiving), and if they are not sadists or masochists (respectively, as they don't care about pain from shoes if they are).
Fixed background error being thrown in slave/occupant rooms when trying to cycle through sex targets when there was only one character present.
Fixed issue with requests in sex not working.
Fixed broken formatting when viewing slave/companion perk tree.
Resetting NPCs' perk trees no longer makes them automatically assign perk points.
Fixed Ice Shard not applying a critical hit when the target was affected by Freezing Fog.
Fixed bug in combat where selecting moves would tick down and apply effects of combat status effects on NPCs, causing them to take damage during the move selection phase.
Removed ability to dye patterns onto trainer socks until I can get multiple pattern areas can work.
Fixed formatting of spells casted during combat, and added indication of when fire spells will cause mana burn.
Angels no longer suffer from menopause.
Fixed bugs that could cause reforged/dyed weapons and clothing to not stack properly with one another.
Fixed issue where you could gain some unrelated perks by reading demonic books in Lilaya's library and elsewhere.
Fixed random NPCs not having correct perk trees generated, or not using all of their perk points.
Fixed some unique NPCs having non-trait perks equipped in their trait bar.
Slaves set to idle will now correctly have sex with other idle slaves (if permissions are set correctly), provided that they can reach each other (house permissions, or in same room). Slaves assigned to the stocks are also now working as suitable sex targets when home.
Fixed issue with idling slaves not applying correct sex effects when having sex with one another (which was causing issues such as tattoo counters and sex counts not being incremented).
Fixed major bug where characters loaded in from old versions would disappear, throwing numerous errors in the background.

    1. I just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work on this game. I really am enjoying this game and find myself playing each release in order to see what has changed or been added. I don't have the money to donate right now, so I just wanted to say thanks for a great game. Hope you have a great week. Cheers! :)

    2. I too would like to thank you for all the hard work and dedication you put into the development of this game. Keep up the good work!

    3. Hey Inno, reported that centaur bug in last build. Just letting you know it still exists. To make it more clear, it's when the centaur is the partner, not your character. Specifically the centaur was female, and my char was male(And not a taur). And anal content is turned off.

    4. so just wondering when might the size play stuff get in? like bulging stomach and such.

      1. While I do not doubt their skill in math or their research skill it takes a lot of calculations to get realistic results on whether or not a given inserted objects gets to bulge out some part like the throat or abdomen or even the urethra of a cock.

I did some work a couple of months ago concerning exactly this that bases itself off of the average diameter and elastic strength of human orifices and it does take quite a lot. Just imagine all that math happening on every tick of a fuck action. Now while for computers it may be a cinch, Inno will have to do some preliminary work in order to have placeholders in the math formula to plug sizes into and I very highly doubt they want to do that.

Alternatively they could just have a size 3 person(height between 5 and 6 feet) be bulged out by a size 4 cock(volume between 0.75 and 1 liters). Even if they did this it'll still take a bit of work to assign size categories.

    5. Huh, a bit more to the enchanting thing than i thought there'd be. Gonna be fun looking into how this changes things.

      1. kneecaps it. total change from clothes = total stability of gear. if you have 110 points of stuff enchanted on gear, you are now capped. so you have 65 physique + 45 arcane. and that'd be it.

      2. After playing through it I found no real difference in the difficulty of the game other than that i could win fights with more difficult enemies three times faster. Though I do pay slightly more attention to who i'm hitting with an attack then before. I found it nearly impossible to get an elemental without blowing enchantment stability for it, but i had enough actions in a round that i never needed one anyways.

Any time i wanted to use an item set i disenchanted it to save stability as opposed to taking a special item and making it better. My Dark Siren, Butler, and Enforcer sets i have now do literally nothing other than give the set bonus, and the only item i bothered enchanting was a single ring. And since clothes don't offer any protection anymore i was able to run around naked without needing to care about it impacting my ability to stay alive.

All around the difficulty didn't change a whole lot, just the numbers involved.

        Delete
      3. Is there a way to get the dark siren set without the debug menu?

      4. Yes, Go back to the fort you first confront her. there was a room you didn't get to go to because the confrontation happened just before it. Check in there.

    6. more restrictions less freedom less way to play a F U to those who want to be OP for so called balancing reason(this is a multi-player game) even though it was a choice to use them this game started out great so much freedom so many choices on how to play but now it is losing them and pushing away those who like to be OP. It is sad see such a good game push a part of the community(OP lovers) away without care or need when it could have easily been made choice they(the maker) use to always give us a choice(all kind of option why not make being OP an optional thing). Still going to keep an eye on it as their are so few games like it but true disappointed(restriction and limitations is all I see for it's future)

      1. Listen, it needs to have a balance. When I can beat everyone in the hardest difficulty with no problem because the system is that broken? It needs to be fixed. Your being a whiny child because Inno did what Inno had to do to make it easier to design and not so brain dead for everyone. If you want to be OP, suck it up, and figure out a way. Also, it isn't a multi-player game...wtf are you talking about?

        Delete
      2. nerfing everything to the ground is not a balance

        Delete
      3. why don't you back the hell off I have every right to speak my opinion as much as you or anyone else. I am not being whiny this game has the ability to turn off and on things like cum regen(which is a feature like the permanent potions) and other stuff and you are telling me they couldn't do the same for potion there are a lot of people who like being OP and it is about the freedom of choice that is suppose to be a feature(or it was) of this game and games like it, it was one of the reason I liked the game(play how you want). I never said not to balance the game in the first place, just to leave the choice of using permanent potion(not like it would hurt anyone or the game if they were as it is your choice to use them), for balancing they could have made them a hell of a lot more cost to make. If you thing this game is't getting more restriction and less ways to play then you are in denial or delusional the just made if worse for those who want to play a character that doesn't wear cloths or have tattoos which they just nerfed too one it. As I just stated that my problem is that all this time they have been giving us a choice for these thing in the game(turning them on or off) but this time they didn't an I don't see how them doing so would hurt(as it wouldn't) An to be truthful I don't care what you reply is especially since half of your other one just insults or spouting rude crap while ignoring my points.

      4. I feel you, maybe more game modes for different methods to play the game like op and normal and underpowered with different game settings op perm potions and stuff like that

        Delete
      5. [Kirotto] agreed. Also forget to mention that at the least they should have removed all the permanent potion like virility and fertility or are you going to say the messed with the balance too? An as said before I understand some wanting a challenge but you know was is more satisfying is going from a hard fight to being OP a legit way no cheats that is all I ask for a way to become OP even if I have to work like hell to do so if you ask me that add more play-ability as there a a lot who like to max there character.

      7. The OP potions were the byproduct of months and years of new content being added without ever getting a balance patch to even it out. Inno didn't do this to “spite” you, she did it because it was about time to remove loose ends from the game that would only become a hindrance latter on. Also to clean up bits that people took for granted or assumed to be intentional, when they weren't.

Wanting these OP potions ins’t a “crime” but vanilla runs are usually tailored by the devs to offer an experience they want their players to have. Everyone has different tastes so there are bound to be clashes, but being at each other’s throats over it isn't going to solve anything. The game is going to be moddable (already is, sort of) so if you don’t like something now, just wait it out.

Really, with mods on the horizon, all of these arguments are moot.

        Delete
      8. the argument is "just like design by landfill, design by carpet bomb is crass and unpleasant". the argument is never moot, because they are habits that follow a designer/coder for their entire career. you do not push a change through that depends on future content, until the content is in. my problem right now, is that i made a character that i like the look of, and spent 20-ish hours grinding for resources to make it op. i am now sitting at 295/110 stability, and cannot play my character at all, without literally stripping down to my 3 best items. everything else is fine, have to spend perks on things to loosen a restriction, or having an option would be fine, but right now, i literally cannot play something i've put time into.

        Delete
      9. @svnhddbst
It's the downside of playing a game that is still in development; anything can change at any given time and that sometimes means something you've worked quite hard to get can become deprecated in the next update. That's just how it goes. I personally prefer to overcome and adapt in these situations than fighting the tide.

It's good for people to voice their opinions, it gives Inno some directives on what needs to be improved. But IMO it's a bit unrealistic to expect major updates like these to come out perfectly balanced and capable of pleasing everyone. The first iterations are always the roughest, they need time to improve.

You could always do what I did; this game has a serious lack of content (i.e, story + progression) to keep me at it for long periods of time. I stopped playing several months ago because I thought waiting for the game to grow and become more stable would prove more beneficial in the long run. I prefer enjoyment over beta-testing so I realized I better wait it out.

        Delete
      10. @Ivory but the point I am getting at is usually the maker make it a choice of turning such features on or off this time she didn't and I know that she didn't do this to “spite” me but she is ignoring those who like to be OP and I don't see how those potion can be a hindrance latter on as they effect nothing unless you choice to use them(which means they don't real hurt balance either) she is even making impossible to get all the perks from what i see. I just hope that in the future she makes it possible to be Op(by increasing our characters stats not through cloth and other things) and get all the perks even if it is hard, cost a lot, as that add for long play for those who like that stuff and it is very satisfying to see your character go from weak to OP especially if you earn it. Also I will say again that she should being back permanent increase or decrease virility and fertility potions as that has no effect on balance even if you use them.

      11. Getting mad at me for telling you the game was hard broken and you having said your point the way you did. You literally are acting entitled to have the game be completely broken in a way to makes it unfun because you liked it. Most people will take the path of least resistance. Do you see ANY other game let such broken systems go? Frankly, and most clearly, I'm less charitable towards you because you post an angry screed at Inno for daring trying to fix it and providing not a single constructive bit of criticism. You imply a lot by leaving stuff out of your statement as well, such as any suggestions to make it better. Does it need work to be better? Yes. This update isn't perfect. It's also a game in development and open to feed back. It's you acting this way at a person giving you something to play, whom works on it alone for the most part. You sound like a spoiled child, screeching about being given a cake and it not having the exact flavor YOU want. I see no reason to be civil when your first reply to this is what you have said. Don't try and take a moral high ground and act offended when you post such flamitory stuff. Get angry at the update? Fine. Cool off and then think on a nicer way to state it and ways it could be done better before commenting.

      13. Anonymous16 June 2019 at 04:44 believe and see thing as you want I wasn't acting entitled(but again see it how you want) how is it broken when you are force to use it if you were force to use it making the game unfun for you then I could see how it would be broken but it isn't. This [you post an angry screed at Inno for daring trying to fix it and providing not a single constructive bit of criticism. You imply a lot by leaving stuff out of your statement as well, such as any suggestions to make it better.] is a lie and you seem to have not read what i wrote one my post isn't an angry screed, two I don't see it as broken as you aren't not forced to use it which mean it isn't broken as it doesn't really effect the game unless you want it to, three the [providing not a single constructive bit of criticism or any suggestions to make it better] shows me you haven't been reading my posts(at least fully) as I have suggested ways that would balance it without removing perma-potions by making them cost a lot more or have other way to permanently increase or decrease(virility and fertility) character stats(not with cloths or tattoos but to truly increase or decrease their stats) and a way to get all perks even if it was hard to do so( either through quest or other ways), cost a lot or some other way that could be made in the future as away to make it balanced by needing effort to get stat increases or perks you didn't or could pick at level up this keeping it in balance and letting those who want to be OP and a masters of all be able to be them(there way of balancing them without removing them as I have already stated)

      15. A little suggestion for y'all: Cutting your posts into smaller paragraphs and using punctuation more often makes it easier to read. I don't want to be rude but every time I see unformatted walls of text such as yours my first reaction is "Am I really going to bother reading all of that?"

Again, I'm not trying to stir the pot here but if you want other people to read what you're saying then it is best to actually write in a more appellative way. Otherwise they're going to skip a lot of it and just make assumptions on the rest. And that's no healthy way to carry a proper discussion.

      16. "this game started out great so much freedom so many choices" Like what, having only the Slave or Mugger perk on NPCs? Like having only a handful of real perk tree choices and a shit ton of placeholders?

"this is a multi-player game" No, it is not. What the fuck are you on?

"why don't you back the hell off I have every right to speak my opinion as much as you or anyone else." Blatant Hypocrisy.

"[Kirotto] agreed" Feeling the need to point out the first person who agrees with you.

Dude, you are most definitely being a whiny entitled baby. You speak with malice and your posts reek of low self esteem and a strong sense of insecurity. The game has mods and debug, but you refuse to take them. No, you can't be satisfied unless the game validates your god complex "legitimately." Check yourself.

      17. if you want OP characters so bad why don't you just use the debug menu

      18. Anonymous16 June 2019 at 18:29 your sure like to act like you know people and call them stuff. [whiny entitled baby] it is called feedback meaning people saying how they feel about the game.

[You speak with malice and your posts reek of low self esteem and a strong sense of insecurity] sure think you know me and how i feel or some how know if I am mad must be psychic.

[god complex] not one thing I say or how I said it points to a god complex. Does it make yourself feel good to insult them and call them stuff just because you don't agree with what they have to say?

The [this is a multi-player game] forgot to put "n't" at the end of "is"(a simple miss spelling)

The [freedom of choices] thing is for how you want to play example you could be naked having no tattoos and still get a lot stronger now you can't without weak probably even more so after it get tweaked more.

To me it seems you are the one that mad and speaks with malice.

as to Anonymous16 June 2019 at 23:33 about [if you want OP characters so bad why don't you just use the debug menu] some of us woiuld like to get OP without cheating and earn it

      19. Gotta say, after playing with the new combat, enchanting, and perks, i still find little issue reaching a point where i'm stronger than everything in the game. winning fights in the beginning was actually easier to do than it was before due to being able to perform three turns worth of actions before my opponent gets to make. and dealing with the Imp gangs (previously annoyingly hard fights) was a lot easier with the ability to take out 3/4 Imps in one round. The numbers are all lower than before yeah, but it's an all around change as opposed to player only.

The game is still in development and there's still plenty of content potential. Bringing the numbers down just brings the potential for more powerful stuff to be used in the future, though being able to average 400+ damage in one turn is still really strong.

You act like Inoxia owes you an 'I'm a walking god' mode where you can be butt fucking naked, have no enchantments, and still beat people with an easily exploitable item. You claim to advocate "freedom of choice," but on at least three separate responses, no less, you make it clear that you're only really upset that the permanent potion effects have been removed. If you look up the word "potion" on this page, it becomes obvious that no one else cares about the potion, except one guy who planned to use it on an NPC.

To be honest you're the one who threw the first stone by calling him "whiny child" right in your first post. Disagreeing without someone doesn't call for rudeness and name-calling - if you want to take the high moral ground then you will have to do better than that. Besides, he made one “defensive” post and ever since then you've been relentlessly attacking him and making a lot of assumptions on his attitude and personality. Be careful you don’t end up projecting your own insecurities and flaws onto others...

Seriously, you're dangerously close to a "troll" attitude yourself. I may not agree with everything the OP wants but that doesn't mean he deserves to be treated like this. I've seen a lot worse and this isn't it.

      23. @Anonymous "Tell me if I didn't just call your ass out just now."

As a bystander in this argument, I can tell you that no you didn't just call him/her out. In fact, you probably just validated all of his complaints about you.

"[it is called feedback] Not if you get defensive and personally insulted from minor disagreements." - This statement probably made sense in your head, but if you actually read it, makes none at all. The feedback is targeted towards Innoxia, The commenter's response to being insulted/called out/etc have nothing to do with whether or not the original statement is feedback or not.

"[sure think you know me and how i feel] What, like you know people before you insult them? Because you insulted a lot of people. You are a hypocrite, refuse to compromise, and are overly defensive." - Reading the original comment I am unsure of how he/she insulted so many people. So I am unsure how they are being a hypocrite, they were defensive because they were insulted after their initial comment. That's normal. Also why do they need to compromise?

"[now you can't without weak] The game is intended to be mod friendly. You refuse make do with cheats or mods. That's on you." - The game currently has little to no actual gameplay or bugfix mods, only item mods. The debug menu/save editing are the currently the only way to cheat, and I think many who complained made it clear they didn't want to use those methods to become OP.

"If that's not a god complex, consider the following." - You clearly have no idea what a God complex is. Even if they had a God complex, which they don't. Insulting people isn't a pre-requisite for one. Based on your logic, you must have a God complex as well, since you have been nothing but insulting and passive aggressive this entire thread.

"You act like Inoxia owes you an 'I'm a walking god' mode where you can be butt fucking naked, have no enchantments, and still beat people with an easily exploitable item. " - You are correct, Innoxia doesn't owe anybody anything. But she did set expectations with how the game was played and marketed. Without warning she removed a feature that had been in the game since she added it, while giving no inclination that she was going to do so. People have every right to be upset that the way they were playing the game was removed without warning, and with seemingly no possibility of it being reintroduced.

"You claim to advocate "freedom of choice," but on at least three separate responses, no less, you make it clear that you're only really upset that the permanent potion effects have been removed. " - Yeah, because the freedom to choose to make potions with permanent affects was removed, thus a removal of a freedom of choice. So I fail to see what you are arguing here.

      24. To make it clear, I also understand and wanted a more balanced game as well (in fact in my own fork of the game I am overhauling combat to be different and more balanced as well). The problem was that Innoxia removed what was for many a major feature without so much as telling anyone it was going to happen.

So it is understandable for people to be upset, and since many of those people are not programmers, all they can do is voice their complaints. Complaining is a form of feedback you know.

To many it is odd that in a furry porn game of all things, the creator would punish players who want to fight in the nude. Especially since they have been on record as saying that the combat was not a major focus of the game.

As for my own personal feedback, while I agree with the balance changes, I don't see why the permanent potions shouldn't be a toggle-able feature. That would literally appease the players who want to be OP, while not removing the balance for everyone else.

I do really dislike the new combat update though. Not to knock on Irbynix, it must have required a lot of work, it's just, I really don't see how it can easily be balanced. The simple fact that you can act multiple times per round, while also seeing what the NPCs are doing, basically invalidates combat. The only time I was challenged was when I cranked the difficulty to maximum, and even then I won at least 75% of the fights. Some are saying adding initiative will solve this but I disagree. Initiative will only randomly cause NPCs to go first, but since you can see all of their moves, you can still react accordingly. Also the ability to act multiple times is still an issue, remove that though, and we are back to the original combat but now we can see what the opponent is doing.

I dunno though, maybe I might be missing something though, I am just happy the game is still seeing development.

I'm acting like a total ass, yes I agree. However, I don't see how my points aren't valid.

I had perceived Kyo's response as denying the fact that his assertion comes as as whiny and childlike, under the label of "feedback." Unfortunately, there wasn't much to "quote," so I grabbed whatever seemed slightly relevant. My bad. I still stand by my point that his behavior is very much of a "whiny baby."

You didn't perceive what I read to be insulting. That's whatever, no point in arguing that. The comment about compromise was directed at the complaint about the game's limitations. Rather than discuss the changing direction in the game's mechanics, it seems as if Kyo is only dissatisfied with the perceived inability to act out what I can only describe as a very specific fantasy, refusing to utilize the game's intended mechanics, such as clothing/equipment enchantment or features not available to the base game. If Kyo is unwilling to explore other options, then why bother engage someone who disagrees?

I'll admit, I'm probably wrong about what constitutes "God Complex," but the brief summary off Google looks to me like it fits the bill. The whole thing sounds like "I'm right, I'm the victim, so fuck off" to me." A little exaggerated? Yeah, I'll admit that too. If we're going to seriously argue the technicalities of certain assertions, we're going to be here all century.

On a personal note, I don't see many people missing the permanent stat-modifying potions. Being viable in fighting in the nude vs two-shotting everything despite being nude are drastically different things. If you like fighting nude, what's wrong with "blank" tattoos or enchanted serial numbers? As for whether it should be toggle-able, who knows what sort of bugs and obstacles might spring up from it? People are still yelling at Inno to fix bugs related to incest, which is an extremely minor feature in my opinion, and I'm pretty sure those guys greatly outnumber the OP MC guys. It's impractical to try to appeal to everyone.

My bad. I made a suggestion earlier to write in paragraphs instead of lumps of text (to make it easier to read) and thought "you" (the other anon) took it to heart.

Anyone who reports bugs on this comment section is going to be yelling and waiting for a fix for a very long time. I've said this a few times now but bug reports should posted on GitHub, not here. This comment section tends to get extremely long (i.e, just look at this argument), off-topic and sometimes quite noxious. It lacks organization and it is easy to miss something vital.

I went and read the comments with the keyword 'incest' in this page and it seems like the problem that person was having was because they forgot to enable the toggle for that particular fetish. This happens quite a few times. Occasionally, people take a break from the game and when they come back they don't know what changed and what was added so simple things like these get labeled and reported as "bugs".

I also went to check the GitHub for all issues related to incest and there are only 3 open. One from May of 2018 that I'm not really sure is relevant anymore and two minor ones; one where names get switched when having companions in the party and another related to sex action bypass. As for the potions, I won't be missing them that's for sure... but I'm biased towards balance so I guess it doesn't count. Mods are limited right now, yes, but hopefully that won't be the case in the future.

I agree with anon 2. Kyo's first response is very very aggressive about a rather small non-issue. To me, it seems he is just looking to be mad about something.

The entire thing about him wanting to be OP and it being "Taken away" seems a bit odd, too. The combat is frankly easier than ever on normal. In past versions, lvl 3 enemies could do damage to me if nothing else. Now they can't even touch me.

It all comes across as if he didn't even play the update before posting at all. I did call him names for the stated reasons. Yes, some of my points aren't that lucid, mostly due to being awake for too long, but Anon 2 does get the across better.

My general feeling of the guy is that he is being extremely self centered and entitled, especially given the fact he talks about "Freedom of choice" but in truth no real lose has happened to that. Yet I've seen no lose in choice. It's frankly easier to customize now. Yeah, enchantment is limited, but no doubt that limit will go up.

"I agree with anon 2. Kyo's first response is very very aggressive about a rather small non-issue. To me, it seems he is just looking to be mad about something." - This to me is what I think the crux of the issue is between the split in the player base with this update. One group of players believes that the removal of a certain feature in the game is a non-issue (probably because they never used it). While the other group believes it is a big issue (probably because they built their characters around it).

I never understood this train of thought, "It doesn't affect me so it can't be that big a deal". At the end of the day, regardless of the fact that you or others you knew didn't use the features, a vocal group of the community did. That feature was removed, without warning, they have every reason to be upset.

While maybe a bit heated, nothing in the OPs original post can be described as hostile enough to warrant the response they received. Name calling, and generally being an asshole to somebody whose opinions differ from your own, never results in anything good.

"The entire thing about him wanting to be OP and it being "Taken away" seems a bit odd, too. The combat is frankly easier than ever on normal." - I somewhat agree with this. The combat update in my honest opinion, isn't that good. And I am unsure how much balancing will actually fix it, it's way to easy, and it will probably stay that way since combat isn't even a major focus in the game. However, I disagree with the argument being odd. I think they are angry that the way they were playing the game to become OP has been taken away, not the fact that they can still be powerful.

"My general feeling of the guy is that he is being extremely self centered and entitled, especially given the fact he talks about "Freedom of choice" but in truth no real lose has happened to that. Yet I've seen no lose in choice. It's frankly easier to customize now. Yeah, enchantment is limited, but no doubt that limit will go up." - Well a feature he was using in the game that he enjoyed was removed. Why shouldn't he be angry or self-centered. Though he wasn't entitled to the feature, Innoxia did give the expectation that the feature would be in the game and wouldn't be removed.

In terms of Freedom of Choice, I definitely see what he was saying. Players had the freedom to choose to use potions as a form of permanently upgrading stats, or didn't. Literally, this feature being in the game would only affect the people who wanted to use it. And a far as I know, it required a lot of grinding it reach that way since it required essences. So I don't get why people are bothered with others using that feature, it's a single player furry porn game, who actually cares about people wanting to make a power fantasy out of it with the tools provided.

So just because you didn't use the feature and so nothing was lost out of it being removed it doesn't mean others weren't and didn't lose something. For players who wanted to play as exhibitionists (go figure in a furry porn game), customizability has been severely limited because now you need to use some form of clothing or tattoos to gain stat increases. Something, that they may not have wanted to do with their character, or the way that they were playing.

So in short, I find it strange to be angry at others being angry for a feature they used being removed. Not everyone here is a programmer so the only way to provide their feedback of the update is too complain.

The potion permanent stat boost thing I honestly never encountered. I have no idea how one would go about it, but I used potions a fair bit in Lilith difficulty and never ran into such. I'm not entire sure it was a feature and not a bug of some description.

As for tattoos, I need to check, but can't you actually just get blank ones? I've done runs as a nude guy running around breaking everyone like they where planks of wood, and I never had a problem then.

The main thing is, permanent stat boosts from potions is very very broken if you can make then. In the previous patch, on normal, I obviously never used it was still so powerful I never needed it. I frankly think this one feature needed to be removed because of balance.

Remember, we haven't even encountered the first major boss yet and yet we walk as gods amongst men in the nude? From my view as a amateur dev myself, that's horrifying to try and think about balance casually.

If the potions where to be kept, they'd have to be nerfed to hell and/or even made very expensive to make. Otherwise balancing would be utterly pointless because the player could just brute force grind through literally everything.

Either way, there'd still be people like Kyo upset and angry about it.

I don't get why you keep bringing up exhibitionism or furries in your arguments. Because of how this update works, there's now virtually no advantage to wearing clothes versus being naked. I don't see the relevance of the topic. You also make it sound like having a tattoo somehow goes against being an exhibitionist or a furry, which I'd argue the opposite. After a quick experiment, it appears that you can achieve a blank tattoo by using the spacebar and setting the font to bold without choosing a pattern. If you're simply going for max Physique and Arcane, all you need to do is pick the corresponding enchantments. The potions worked exactly like tattoo/clothing enchantment in the first place. I don't see why there needs to be an option for people to go out of their way to achieve the same result.

        @Asherren
The sad part is that this is actually less toxic than usual. It's especially bad whenever Inno announces a delay.

I noticed how on your selfie profile there was the point about not being a slave and free willed. Is the discription for the player therefore just because of the template used for discription or can the player actually be enslaved?

And I agree, limiting the amount of enchantments on a person is rather poor choice: you can't even have Dark Siren set without removing some of the enchantments on them, nevermind having anything going alongside it.
Strangely, using buggy, you cannot add perk points. Considering that there are a lot of perks to have, it is rather annoying. Also, I don't know if this is the limit, but even with 'Object of Desire', demons only need three orgasms to be satisfied. Didn't try with any other race.

Can a specialized vagina type exist that allows you to take another character's pregnancy for yourself if you trib them with it and have it continue in your womb? Although pregnancy transfer is a very niche fetish it is nonetheless obscenely hot for those who have it. Even if they couldn't visually illustrate it like we can today, there's some weird stuff out there written by people probably already dead.

      3. Okay, I just checked an old save that was created before the update, Vicky has essences in stock, so my new game I started has the issue of having no essences being sold. I already know the cause isn't due to not unlocking enchantments, as I have unlocked that and gotten the "tutorial dialogue" about essence and enchanting.

        Delete
      4. Okay, I found the problem. For some reason, the essences won't actually be stocked until it passes midnight, into your second day. They won't spawn prestocked into Vicky's inventory until the game forces a stock respawn at midnight.

        Delete

Older Version Saves are incompatible with Newer Versions of the Game and causes unintended bugs when loaded...

        Delete
      7. So, I'm just going to cover everything I've learnt ever since, because regardless of incompatibility between old vs new, this problem is extremely inconsistent.

Like I've explained before, the bug only affects saves made in an older version, however unlike previously stated, the day ticking over into midnight does not always fix the issue. I am fairly certain the issue is related to saves made before it ticked over into the second day, though. Reason how I found this is I wanted to train up and "fix" some characters I made, so I could export them, since I always save a new character ASAP as a "beginning of the road reset" type of backup. It was those saves that were only ever affected, as the only save I still had that was made later on is not affected by this issue.

Whilst experimenting, these were some of the events that helped triggered the essences to start spawning properly, however forcing the essences to respawn is not 100% replicable.
        - When the day ticked past midnight
        - When I loaded into an effected save from an unaffected save
        - When a weather effect happened (storm/snow)

        Delete
      8. Okay, I figured out there is a 100% guarantee to fixing this issue, and it involves overwriting the save. Aka if you have Save1 load Save1 and then immediately save over Save1, the essences will never spawn if the save file it is using is not "updated" to the newest version.

I also think that, once you do save over it, you then need to reload it as well.

    17. Yeah, I really hate the new enchantment system.

I enjoyed having, first of all, limited number of enchantments on clothing. Now that they all have 100, why would you even consider getting jewelry, nip tapes etc., unless you want them aesthetically? Before that you almost NEEDED them to max it all.

Second - I hate that the max you can get is 3 on any stat now. It just kills my OCD, with maximum stability being what, 110? Doesn't divide by 3... -_-
At the very least please make it 5 again.

And lastly, it really sucks that stability counts the actual strength of enchantments and not their number. So, say, a sword with 5 enchantments counts as 15 (if they are +3) and not as 5.

I'm sorry, but this is probably the most awkward and unwelcome update for me personally. There's just not even a single thing about it that I like.

      2. The new system is still being worked on as far as I can tell, so the specifics might well change somewhere down the line.
I haven't played the current version much yet, but just from reading these couple comments I can't help but think it would make no sense for a +1 and a +3 enchantment to have the same stability cost (why would you ever use lower level enchantments if there was no downsides at all to using a higher level one instead?).

As for the limits on how many enchantments a single piece of equipment can have, I agree 100 is way too high, but that might well be rectified once the balancing work makes enough progress.

...Oh, and about your "OCD" (yeah I get it, it's always nicer when things are divisible by 5 and line up just right but come on), you can always just do sets of +3 and +2 enchantments if it really bothers you that much. What with the stability cost being based on the number of stats added either way.

        Delete
      3. Before this update you never needed jewlery and stuff to max stats, as on one of my characters I had max physique, arcan, crit chance, crit damage, dodge chance, fire and ice damage, and some other stuff, and i wasn't wearing very much, just the Geisha clothe set (i think the set with the kimono is called geisha), the daisho weapon set, the slime crown, the signet ring, and maybe 1-2 other random pieces of clothes. Between the skill tree and dumping several hundred essences to reenchant everything I had many things maxed by the end of the dark siren quest, and that's just cause I was too lazy to do enchanting before then so I very well could have had all that much earlier.

Of course though with this update several of my enchantments are now useless and I cant use the set at all due to stability.

    18. I get that this update might be a bit divisive to those of us who have been around a while (I started playing at 0.14!) But in a few months, this will just be the new normal. This is what needed to happen for this game and its story to move on and I agree with the creator when they say this is for the best of implementing difficulty. I've always been accustomed to making sacrifices when developing a character and feel it adds a layer of depth when you have to make choices as to how to get stronger in some areas. Looking forward to 0.3.4!

      1. About difficulty - at some point of the game you are suposed to fight elder lillins
My character (Youko) have max 795 points to boost stats (racial + all perks + all fetishes + enchantment stability) and then you go fight Elder Lillin which have 4k points just like that (without enchants, perks or fetishes, not to mention that they have untouchable perk which gives them +100 to all stats) balanced as fuck

      2. Youkotaurs are the way to go! Demonic horses are fun too. Also I'm under the impression that stats, levels, perks and such will continue to rise as new challenges are introduced. At the moment, it's more than possible to fight every enemy at maximum level on the highest difficulty. I assume that will continue to be true. Also how did you get all perks?

      1. She did say there was still actual balancing to do, and that the difficulty options need to be tweaked.

My guess is the default / lowest difficulty will always be that way considering the complaints this update has gotten, and given that combat isn't the focus of the game it'll probably always be somewhat broken in general. The main problem is it was so easy to break the balance before it was basically the norm to do so even if you weren't trying to make yourself OP.

      2. The new combat system was made by an user called Irbynx. He made this mod several months about but only now it was introduced to the game; I assume he didn't go too far because he wasn't sure it was going to be added (as with most mods). I've talked to him a little on Discord and there are plans to add more content and balance it out in the future.

What we're doing here is basically trial-testing this mod (now merged into the game) and providing feedback on what needs to be improved (he already got some from Discord). It's not going to be pretty at the beginning, or smooth, or balanced... but it will get better with time.

    21. I get that the idea was to make combat more balanced, but now all the gear I had is basically useless. Putting on just two or three pieces crashes my Energy and Aura right down to 1 and pumps Corruption up to 100. 25. Can safely say I don't enjoy the new combat at all. It's much slower and more clunky. While I don't mind some battles being a challenge, I liked easy battles where I could just hit 1 a couple times and the battle was over. Now I got to hit end turn as well, which is just obnoxious. And spells/criticals are just not fun. Or functional really. Enchanting is completely worthless now. And half demon offspring still spawn as females with f cup breasts.

I don't play this game for challenging and nuanced combat. The combat is a very, very minor feature to me. But now it feels like an obstacle to fun more than anything. A lot of this update just made most of the game less fun to me and didn't fix some of the bugs I hate the most. Not happy with this. I hope future updates make the game fun again.

I would always rather this game be fun over "balanced".

also this isn't balanced, you literally can hit them 3 times before they can hit you, this combat system is for toddlers compared to the previous one, its too easy.

      2. Not really. It is asking the people to do a bit of digging and find edits that they can make to make the game better for themselves. It is not asking them to create code and test it to ensure that it doesn't break the game to an unplayable amount. But I do agree that some of the people (the ones who wait for official releases like this) probably can't do that and would need somebody to give them a modded version of the game so that they can play how they want.

      3. I don't have, don't know how, don't have the time, and don't particularly care to learn how to use Java. You're little "tip", telling people to code in the enhancement limit themselves is about as useful as a poopy flavored lollipop.

    27. No offence but other than the new perks and bug fixes I don't like this update very much. The combat system is alright, but I dislike having to select a limited number of moves. Sure, I can finally control how my companions attack and that's great, but the imposed move limit takes away flexibility which was the only advantage of having a fetish. Moves already had a downside, because spells cost gold to acquire and fetishes make the character weak to the corresponding counter. Unless I really want to use lust attacks getting a fetish is a pure downside when it comes to combat and they only remain useful to limit corruption, which brings me to the other big issue.

I was shocked when I noticed corruption and fertility can't be changed with potions anymore. If I want to play low corruption I have to get all the fetishes and be weak to every tease move or only use the couple of vanilla interactions in sex that don't raise corruption. Corruption influences lust resistance, but making it permanent is a big drawback for the sake of balance because there's no way to clear it and it limits the "erotic" part.

Fertility is another big problem. I don't like impregnation content, nor do I like having to waste two trait slots out of six to make my character infertile. It doesn't have anything to do with balance. Stocking up on pills and remembering to take them every day is a chore, even more with multiple non-slave companions I can't put on contraceptives automatically from the slave menu, because they don't have one. At least please turn the traits into togglable standard perks so I won't feel as bad griding two extra levels just to avoid content I hate and get punished for it by wasting two valuable trait slots. Sorry, but changing my traits every time I switch from combat to sex is quite annoying because it happens too often. Speaking of which, we have toggles for pretty much anything but pregnancy, can we have one for it too?

I appreciate the additional enchantment slots because exhibitionist characters only need two items to carry all the enchantments they can use, but I feel like easy mode should be easy in a text-based erotic game. I'm mostly here to RP and read the smut the dev writes and I don't enjoy combat that much. The hardest mode's description seems pretty savage in terms of difficulty, so I don't get why the players who want a challenge don't go for it. I can't believe enemies who are 2x your level, deal 400% and take 25% damage aren't a challenge. It's really sad when I finally find a companion I love but I can't bring them with me because they're to weak and take an insane amount of time to level up, when I could just give them some potions to make them catch up quickly. Letting companions gain some xp every time they have sex with the player character until they reach the PC's level could be a solution.

I'm thankful for the work put in the game, but if the change is here to stay please consider adding a pregnancy content toggle or automate contraceptives for the player character and non-slave companions from the room menu in Lilaya's house. A way to avoid corruption without making the player choose between combat effectiveness and enjoyable erotic content would be great. Deactivating the weakness to an enemy's fetish-based attack when the PC or a companion doesn't have it equipped would work too.

As for fertility, I never had a problem with just getting the barren perk, might be different with the new skill tree (dont have a pc rn so cant play this update) if it adds more necessary perks though. Though if you want to sacrifice enchantments you can get negative fertility enchants (granted with stability now a thing it will take a bit to get enough to be infertile), though rn since the new combat system is horribly broken in our favor enchanting is unnecessary (granted even before this it wasn't as I played through before without ever endhanting and didnt have much trouble). Though unless you can give non-slave companions clothing (i havent touched non-slave companions so idk) i cant help you there, but yeah an option to turn pregnancy off should be a thing.

Also from the sounds of it this might have been to big of a change too quickly while i have not played the new combat or messed with the new enchanting i believe there is a better way to "adjust" enchanting whether it be potions or enchanting armor / clothing. i would say have people invest in one or the other which will make them stronger in one regard and keep the game challenging. 1. The game has received a major nerf: A stat called enhancement stability was added to the game.

When you enhance a piece of clothing, weapon, piercing or tattoo each point of aura, energy, resist, damage, fertility/virility that is on a worn item, costs 1 stability.
You receive 10 base stability points, +1 point for each level of your character and up to +50 points for each of the new perks you select and that sets the maximum enhancement points you can apply to gear without penalty.
When you go over that limit you receive a penalty, the max penalty reduces you to 1 energy and 1 aura until you remove enough stat boosts from your equipment.

As an example At level 22, I have a total of 82 points with all 6 perks chosen (10+22+50). Equipping the Dark Sirens Cloak (-45 stability), The enforcer set (-12 stability), the cattle set (-8), a crude shield and legendary demonstone (-18) puts me at 83 enhancement stability points. Which gives me a debuff of -25% energy and aura.
It seems that at 1-9 points over is -25%, 10-19 is 50% and 30 and higher is 100% (1 energy and 1 aura).

        Delete
      2. Typo: Meant to say 20 over, not 30 over.

It needs some work OR the intention is to never allow players anything more than basic gear and 1 or two 'good' items.

        Delete
      3. There's also the possibility these "caps" will increase as the game progresses. We just gained access to the second major area of of the game (out of 5-6 I think?) so it "kind of" makes sense for stuff to be a tad limited right now. Normally, we don't become "OP" in the first 1/3 of the game, that's end-game stuff.

At least that's how I see it. Is Inno building stuff while thinking about the repercussions it will have in the future? I don't know.

        Delete
      4. Well, I do hope the cap is going to be revisited, as of now I don't even bother trying to enchant anything.
On the plus side, it is extremely easy to reach 95+ corruption for the demon TF from Lysseth. Just don more gear than your cap. Instant 100 corruption, after TF just remove excess gear and go on your merry way.

    33. Great update! Glad to see something being done with the combat system. It was previously so braindead. It never felt like there was a situation where your combat choices mattered; you just hit your biggest button and that either worked or didn't. The permanent buffs were a problem too. I see a lot of people saying that they were fine because "you didn't have to use them," but it feels kind of "meh" that the game could only be hard if you limited yourself from taking advantage of the tools it gives you.

A more reasonable request would be for an easier easy mode ("normal" mode already felt a bit like an easy mode) if you want the feeling of wiping the floor with the enemies.

    34. To be honest. I't be a lot better if the base enhancement limit was 100 + Your level and then the perks.

Because as it is you can't wear any of the sets without blowing through the limit, and im saying this as I am level 46. I can't wear my butler set (And I chose the buttler perk at beginning) because it has a 140 enhancement limit and I barely hit 109 with all stability perks.

It is a step in the right direction, to be sure. But needs a bit more tweaks.

    35. I like the new combat system, though a initiative element is still lacking. Would up the difficulty when dealing with enemies like the cats and rats (making the races more unique). Soldier currently feels too strong for this reason, also the fact you can always act first and finish the fight makes most encounter trivial without heavily upping the difficulty. Otherwise this feels like a good direction for combat.

      1. Combat is a joke right now.

I used to pick soldier, for similar reasons as you, that extra strike at the beginning. Because those high HP horses, cows and imp hordes were a pain to fight. Now they are just speed bumps.
Even the imp fortresses were a cakewalk. It used to take me a couple trips to rest or drink potions to clear them. This time, I did all 3 in 1 go and didn't even break a sweat and didn't need a companion or elemental either.

      2. The system is better currently, but obviously needs work. She said the damage is off which is fine as long it gets balanced, but even then i dont want to right away have the initiative when I am usually the one being ambushed. More skills for the player and enemies will definitely improve encounters as well. Another addition which would be nice if there are enemies that show up equip to your level with decent weapons +-3 lvls when compared to you to keep you on your toes. Ultimately I think fleshing out the combat now would really help the game out before adding more areas.

    36. Combat, enchantment, and potions definitely all needed major changes. I don't know if this patch broke even on any of them, but hopefully it lays the groundwork for improving all of them.

As it stands, enchantment is more boring because you can dump everything on one item without restrictions, and less relevant because even the crap loot quickly surpasses the stability limit with all perks. I would hope that the per-item enchantment limits return, even if in a more liberal form. Stability also needs to scale a LOT more.

    37. I'm just gonna point out that Twin Strike is as useless as always. Only crits when used three times, but it costs 2 AP so that's effectively impossible.

And overall, having only eight move slots is just kind of frustrating when you can get up to 24 different spells and 22 fetish-related teases. If I didn't want to use Telekinetic Storm before because of its ridiculous aura cost to only deal minor damage, I'm definitely not using it now that it takes up a slot.

It helps if you have a companion and want to control what they do during combat, but putting that same restriction on the PC just makes the game feel unintentionally clunkier, like you have this whole massive spellcasting system that lets you feel like a wizard, but you can only remember how to do eight things in the middle of a battle.

      ReplyDelete
    38. Now I have to ask why magic is even a thing. Enormous aura cost of spells (even with maxed efficiency) makes it impossible to use it as main weapon, to recover aura you have to use either consumables or time to visit home (at the same time when NPCs recover instantly after combat), and since now you can't be master-of-all-trades so you can't even keep it as a back-up weapon. Similarly, tease attacks are now pretty useless too. They are only efficient in special cases.

      ReplyDelete
      Replies
      1. That hasn't matched my experience at all - I found (on the second difficulty level) that the basic attack has always been useful as long as you keep your weapon up to date, but at later levels magic became incredibly strong. Using the stunning effects to avoid damage helped with one of the big fights, and at this point the lust spell one-shots virtually anything, the ice shards guarantee a stun, the heal is amazing, and the elemental summons are extraordinary tanks. On top of spells costing very little for a purpose-built mage, restoring aura is easy and with the water spell energy is even easier.

Players have too many confusing options during battle? Just limit them to 8 options per battle! Because a magician will totally just forget the spells they've learned in battle except 8 for some reason. Simplify!
Players who like to grind are becoming OP? Can't have that. Everyone knows that the kind of players who spend hours grinding don't like having extremely strong or OP characters! Nerf it! It's that easy~
What's that? Players have the ability to create the character they want, at whatever power level they want, in whatever state of dress that they want in a game where you can play as an anthropomorphic cat with a 12 inch cock that ejaculates chocolate? Woah, buddy slow down. Sounds like you're having a little too much fun there. Can't have player freedom in an erotic text game. Gotta nerf it to the ground.

Now you're getting a hang of this balancing act~

      This update is a joke.

      1. You don't install it. You download the version that best suits you and launch the game, either through the .exe or .jar file. You need Java for this.

    46. I'm waiting for story content since a while but there is only bug fixes and gameplay changes :/
I didn't play the new versions for a while now but I keep thinking that combat is poor in term of gameplay design: I would like to see, That's just ideas, the enemies preparing for a move and you could counter it, or including D&D like rules for spells and techniques. I mean I have tons of ideas but I don't know how to code xD
And for sex interactions, I always felt like it lacks of informations. Images would be nice, too bad that would probably be too costly and hard to make.

    47. Dunno if I'm messing anything up. but for some reason I just can't get anything taur related to work except oral.

I've tried using an old character of mine, I've tried creating a brand new one, and going out.. can't mount or get mounted, only gives options for oral :S

    48. 110 stability is far too low right now, you can barely equip any enchanted items without going over the limit. The combat change also does make any kind of encounter a faceroll even on the highest difficulties. I think the changes are a good idea in theory, but the cap needs to be lifted to at least 300 or even 500 IMO.

    49. Why I never meet resisting enemy? Every enemy after fight always acting submissively even they are straight and have dominant perk. I already tried to switch the setting still the same. Or it because I always defeated them by lust damage so their lust meter affecting how they act?

      1. To meet a resisting enemy they will need to either have
        A) the perk Unwilling Fuck-toy above like
        or
        B) their sexual orientation have to be the opposite of your gender which you can change in Option>Orientation preference.

This change: Added 'object of desire' perk: All partners in sex require +1 orgasm before being satisfied.

is fantastic. Any chance of adding more ranks of that perk? Up to like +5 or something crazy~

    53. Currently experiencing a freeze during combat. I use 3 normal strikes which should almost deplete the enemy's energy, and then my fire elemental should finish the job. When I click end turn to attack, nothing happens, but hovering over strike now says "You have defeated the *enemy species*". I just discovered that you can get out of this by clicking on the elemental's name to target it, which brings up the victory button

    54. It is a shame that the +1 Perk Point for using the debug cheat does not work on this version, i can't get every perk on there due to the level being 33 levels lower than the amount of perks left, maybe the level cap can go higher some day so that the remaining ones can be gotten without including the hidden perks?

      3. Join the line, buddy. There are a lot of people waiting for content that they voted as Patreons (and won the poll) and it has been months, maybe even closer to a year now and still hasn't been added. Some people are starting to get burned out because there has been no story progression in months and the game doesn't have enough content to keep it interesting for extended periods of time. Also modding is extremely limited at the moment so even if people wanted to add content themselves, they can't (besides clothing and weapons).

I wouldn't hold my breath on minor fetishes being added "ASAP". If that's your major hook then you are better off playing something else and give LT a year or two to grow... at the rate this is going, that may even be an optimistic estimation.

        Delete
      4. Oof. I'll admit the game's progression has been slow as hell but damn. It's in dire need of content. It's almost as bad as Carnal Souls progress and that's a game I've been hoping to see come out for awhile now.

        Delete
      5. Well, I don't know about Carnal Souls but LT has an excuse - Inno is working on this by her lonesome which is why everything is taking so long to implemented. In the past she said she wasn't ready to hire anyone because the managing a team deviates too much time from development, so the only help this game gets at the moment comes from volunteers who know Java and are willing to mod and write pull-requests.

Lilith’s Throne is no small undertaking, the game is extremely ambitious and the amount of customization it has is quite rare nowadays. Alas, the content that is planned is basically an enormous list that just keeps on growing and its very easy for some stuff to end in the back-burner... if not forgotten entirely. Everything that is implemented results in a myriad of bugs that need to be fixed. Given the sheer complexity of this game that is definitely going to become problem further down the road, especially for one person alone to handle. I mean, she struggles all the time to meet her own deadlines so it is already there... sort of.

Yeah, there is a lot of customization, features and fetishes in LT (plus more to come), its part of what makes it so great, but I fear that Inno may have taken more than she can chew on this one. She was just an inexperienced developer when she started on LT and given her tendency to be overly optimistic about everything and then falling flat on that... yeah.

I think LT, as it is now, and what it is meant to become, is just unmanageable for a one-person project... it doesn't bode well for it’s future. Hope I'm wrong but if it ever goes anywhere, it will take literal years to get a decent chunk of story and content out of it.

      6. We can only hope. As it stands now, it's not looking too good...

      7. The problem is she keeps messing around with systems instead of expanding what the game already did well.

Feature creep is a real thing and frequently leads to the death of games made by people without a clear end product goal.

This combat overhaul is a perfect example.

If I wanted nuanced RPG combat, I'd go play any of the multitudes of actual RPG's out there. We're all here to fap and spending time attempting to make this a more "legit" game instead of expanding on fetish content or the story isn't helping.

      8. I agree with the last anon before me. Completely overhauling the game's mechanic with an update tend to piss off pre-existing player base even if your game is packed full of vanilla content and even more modded content (Stellaris, *cough cough*). Keep doing big overhauls over and over again when there is barely any main quest/side quest/repeatable content is more or less committing suicide.

I personally think the permanent potion enchanting is very OP compared to the other player development mechanic (getting new equipment/level up). But at least it's still limited by the massive essence farming one need to do so it's balanced within the difficulty level of the game itself. Gutting it and then do a revamp of the whole combat system is simply uncalled for and took precious time when Innoxia could have used it to develop other more needed things, like better modding support like Monster Girl Dreams, or actual vanilla quest content.

At this stage I honestly don't even want to see LT get a full team behind it if this is how badly Innoxia manages her personal time. I think add more people into the team will actually make it worse.

        Delete
      9. I agree that mod support should be given priority right now. I'm aware that writing mod templates when core systems are being overhauled isn't a very wise idea but the matter of the fact is story and progression have been halted for months and people are getting tired of seeing nothing but bug-fixes. Every feature she adds breaks the game in some way, which then needs to be patched before moving on. If she’s going to be adding every little thing that pops up in her head, one after the other, then we’ll never leave this loop.

Overhauls are expensive; they slow down development (particularly when working solo) and imply money and resources where wasted on a system that wasn't up to par. Inno needs to plan her features more carefully to avoid revamps, not turning it into an habit. She also needs to find a better balance between adding new mechanics and fresh content because LT has been in development for 3 years now and this is all the progress it has made during that time.

If the idea is to add user-made content to speed up the process then the sooner she gives us the tools, the better. It will also keep the community engaged during these periods of “drought”. Seriously, this game is too big and complex for her to handle alone and it is only going to get worse. You don’t need a master’s degree in development to see that. The sooner people can pitch in to help, the better it will be for everyone involved.

      10. Multiple game graphic/mechanic overhauls with limited and poorly implemented new content, all with bad/limited development team, resulting in a game that died?

    56. And in case someone ask about with including the hidden perks, i don't think any of them require perk points to spend on them, so i did not include them when it comes to getting them by that.

    57. There is something always bothered after you have sex with your offspring(Obs: and they do not have attraction for you or incest fetish) during a arcane storm, they seem to forget that you had sex with them, I would guess they would at least feel some guilt or wish for more, It would be really cool if inno added this interaction that could lead to your offspring get interested in incest without a potion to do this, sorry for my english, its not my first language.
