Version Hotfix Release

Hello again,

Sorry about how long it's taken me to get this hotfix out; although the two major bugs were quickly fixed (perk trees and slave jobs not working), I wanted to try and get all of the reported issues in v0.3.9 addressed before releasing this. I'm pretty sure that I've caught all but maybe one or two small bugs, so this hotfix should be a lot more playable than v0.3.9 was.

Anyway, beside fixing bugs, I've also re-enabled the ability to start Axel's quest (the dreaded Rat Warrens quest), as most of the content for it has now been finished. There are still some placeholders in it (including all of the post-quest Vengar and Murk content in the Gambling Den), and I haven't had time to thoroughly test it, but it *should* be entirely functional. I will get it 100% finished and polished for the next version, so if you'd like to wait until it's completely finished before trying it out, then you'll only have to wait for the next update.

As part of the Rat Warrens content, I've included the game's first 'bad end'. I'm only planning on adding these into the game where I think that it would make no narrative sense for your character to escape from a situation. As a reminder, there is a toggle for bad end content in your content settings.

Moving on, the next release will be the preview of v0.3.9.5, which will be focused on finishing off any half-finished content left in Dominion/Submission. After that, the public release of v0.4 will (finally) include some new content in the Fields, and from then on I'll be advancing the main quest and adding content alongside that.

Thank you all for being so patient with me for so long; I know that it's been frustrating to have been stuck at this stage of the main quest for so long...

  • Rat Warrens:
    • Mostly completed Rat Warrens quest. There are just a few placeholders here and there and I haven't yet done thorough testing of it. Also, the post-quest Murk & Vengar content (in the Gambling Den) is still placeholders.
      Expanded Murk's captivity content and made it a little more linear. Also added a bad end state at the end of it.
      Losing to Vengar now leads into the same Murk content as losing to one of the generic gang fights.
      Resolving Axel's quest by cooperating with Vengar now leads into the end result as fighting him.
      Companions now always escape after losing to any fight which leads into Murk or Vengar captivity.
      Reduced size of hostile rat gangs from 6 to 4.
      Fixed issue where if non-consent content was disabled, the Rat Warrens would enter into a bugged state if you lost combat and were thrown out.
      Slightly altered and improved descriptions of Murk and his milking storage and milking rooms.
      Murk now only rents his milkers out between 14:00 and 22:00.
      Slightly altered Murk's and his milkers' bodies & fetishes.
  • Sex:
    • Characters who have a negative desire towards the impregnation fetish now have a low priority to creampie the vagina of characters who are not visibly pregnant.
      Fixed issue where NPCs were not using items & condoms properly.
      NPCs with the 'Pure virgin' fetish will no longer beg to have their virginity taken during sex.
      NPCs will no longer get stuck trying to repeatedly remove sealed bras.

      Fixed game-breaking issues when getting your companion to summon an elemental.
      Fixed issue where exploring in Dominion's alleyways would sometimes pass time but not display any encounter.
      Fixed a couple of instances where Dominion storm attackers would not be removed from street tiles after interacting with them. (Any NPCs stuck on tiles in this manner will be cleaned up when loading into this version.)
      Half-demon dog, wolf, and fox morphs should now correctly spawn with scarlet penises.
      Fixed issue where Loppy was spawning with her penile virginity.
      Fixed bug where having sex with more than 4 slaves in your bathroom's shower or bath would throw background errors and thus not work.
      Fixed bug where all of your clothing would be duplicated into your inventory after stripping to use the spa and then having sex with your salves in the pool.
      Fixed bug where, after sex, unique NPCs would drop clothing that had become dirty during sex on the floor.
      Offspring resulting from an imp mother or father will now correctly be imps.


    1. Using the Quick Sex function one-too many times can cause the inventory display to be stuck on the screen. It's easily avoidable if you use the Quicksave ability, but otherwise we still have to restart the game in order to get rid of it.

      Also, I understand that the alligator-morphs were restricted to the Submission area to make it more logical, but being able to come across them in the waterway alleys was a nice touch. Could you consider re-enabling them in those areas?

    2. Could you add more enemy level settings for difficulty please.

      like settings a range of enemy level increase from yours:
      e.g. +15 to + 35
      so if i'm level 10 then enemies will spawn between 25 to 45.

      difficulty right now forces quarter damage and quadruple damage at higher tiers. this is a good start but doesn't allow for any middle ground between half damage dealt and double received.

      also a modifier for racial bonuses would be cool too, so that fighting different species impacts how you fight them even more.

      1. In my opinion the only way to make combat even remotely challenging is to add new mechanics. I don't feel that tweaking numbers is really going to do it, as long as Attacking 3 times is most effective way of dealing damage. Or lust is still so powerful and magic so hit or miss.

    3. Awesome news! Also any reason we can't do anything with Meraxis other than talk after Siren's Call?

        She's planned to have more content once the fields are being worked on

      2. Next time you're in the "buggy" menu, check out the description of the "Arcane Rifle" for a hint as to what's being planned for Meraxis.

        Though technically there's one interaction you can have with Meraxis after the Siren's Call quest.

    4. Little dissapointed that turning off bad ends for the rat warrens just leads to you automatically getting free after three days, but oh well.

      Seeing the handcuff items added earlier before gave me an idea. The ability to handcuff your slaves to each other, forcing them to travel together and do all activities together. Could also maybe increase or decrease their affection for each other.

      1. It's either the PC gets free or the quest, and the game by extension, ends because you are now a captive and no longer able to take down the other demons in positions of power. In other words, there is a way for it not to have the PC escape after a few days and that is a game over.

        The way Inno approaches player slavery and bad endings means there is only two ways it can go down and neither will truly please the players who want this kind of content. If the player were to be truly enslaved, without any means to escape, it would basically result in a 'game over' as they would be unable to progress in the story and play the game the way it was meant to be played.

        For some people, this probably doesn't matter a whole lot, and I partially blame that the way the game is being delivered and the focus (or lack of thereof) of the developer.

        Right now, LT is basically a glorified sandbox experience with story as a tiny foot-note. It would make sense to think story matters little and that sandbox content like this takes precedence, right? Well, the problem is that LT is meant to be a text-based RPG – with a story at its center - but it doesn't look nor feel like one when Inno keeps prioritizing side-content and features and ignoring the story for about 2 years now. It also gives new players the wrong idea of what this game is meant to be.

        Inno has a vision for this game, and a story to go with it. Unlike some developers who wind it up as they go, she already has the gist of the narrative pinned down. Anything that breaks that narrative, permanently, is straight up a game over. Now, she could probably go and add an extra path to these quests, focused on player enslavement, but that’s assuming she’s interested in said content in the first place and willing to go the extra mile for it... on an ever-growing list of “to dos”.

        If you want true player enslavement, wait for mods.

    5. Ay, thanks for getting some bugs handled. I might give this Rat Warren quest a look.

        I enter the little "house" to check out the Rat Warren dorm, and I see this curious little icon with a pair of dice on it. I figure it's a gambling spot and click the map icon to move into the square, only to not go anywhere. The map seems to glitch when I click that space, but I can get out of the glitch if I return to the crossway leading to the room.

      2. (Bug)
        Rat Warren House's "Challenge" option seems to break everything.
        Also seems to be some NPC parser errors thrown when I attempt to re-enter the location.

      3. To clarify on the "Challenge" option issue: I don't get a notice or anything as to what's going on until I move. Then, the map squares just change to "hostile" colors and the idle text defaults to an alert, but I don't seem to ever encounter anything.

      4. (Bug)
        Choosing to have sex with the entry guards seems to be broken, too. Nothing happens when I click, but I can still just choose not to go through with it after falsely disclosing myself to be a whore.

      5. (Commentary)

        I played through more of this Rat Warren content and I have to say you put a lot of effort into this, too, despite some of it still not fleshed out (fem'd Vengar/Murk). I went through a lot of the options and endings (including the feminizations) and everything works. I think it's hilarious that a fem'd Axel basically just doesn't care to try to transform back to his male form and embraces being a priss. "Milker" content provokes some sadness in me, yet it's still well done. It explains how and why those ladies ended up there, and what kind of "business" Murk is actually into (coughillicithumantraffickingforbrothelusecough). I hope you get the bugs sorted out; I'd like to see what's up with the "Challenge" button.

        While captured by Vengar/Murk:

        Continuing through the captivity up to the point where you can no longer refuse Murk's demands eventually bugs out, where you can't progress through the daily life of a slave as the only buttons available don't progress the ordeal when clicked.

        Returning to the Rat Warren hideout after Vengar's captivity and approaching his old throne room still triggers dialogue between the two of you as if he's still there, suggesting you either go back to his bedroom or pay fem'd Axel a visit.

        Silence summons an elemental after Shadow falls in battle, but the enemy list shows a duplicated entity of the summoned elemental; the duplicate doesn't do anything, though. It's just a glitch, I guess.

    6. Awesome. I have a question. Will you add dragons and kobolds? In game there is only the aligators race for those who like lizards. It's cool but when i see unicorns and phoneix harpies i m asking myself where did the dragons go? They were much more common than those two in legends and in game there is only volcano saying that there is no dragons anywhere in the world.

      2. Dragons are planned and will be added at some point in the future. Kobolds, however, won't. They fall in the same category as generic fantasy race (same as elves, orcs, dwarves, gnomes, etc) and Inno already stated she's not interested in adding any of those.

        Going to have to rely on mods for these.

    7. you know what I just relies and know about it this whole time ,but we know that the main charter can have pussy for nipples and can be done to your slaves and other charter so what about the idea of nipple pussy getting pregnant and giving birth threw your nipple ,but if can't work like that because of lactating or some other issue then how bout your nipple pussy can only get pregnant and give birth if you have an extra set of breast. It's just an idea and you can do it or don't does not really matter to me. I just want to give you the idea if you have not thought of it already that's all

      1. This is the craziest idea I've ever heard. Such content for hardened perverts can be added in the form of mods, but it is better not to include it in the game itself. You can wait for modification support and do it yourself.

      2. Well, Slimes can get pregnant via any orifice and the birth isn't explicitly described, so ...

    8. I'm glad that you've completed the work on Dominion and can start adding the rest of the world.

      I have one last suggestion for Dominion, and any other communities that you may add: an abortion clinic. None of the characters have to talk about it; don't draw any attention to it. Just put on the map and let the player find it on her own. Lilaya doesn't have to get an abortion if you knock her up. You can't force it on slaves or NPCs. No one recommends it to you when you're pregnant. All it is is that, if you don't want to give birth -- perhaps because you lost a fight and got raped -- you can go there and terminate the pregnancy safely and legally. It doesn't cost anything, trigger a storyline, become part of a quest, or have any consequences. It just gives you some freedom and autonomy over your body in the game.

      1. I also think it's a better alternative to having a Morning After Pill item, which would create the possibility of forcing a slave or guest to take it on the inventory screen, unless you added code to prevent it from being used by other characters. It would invite debate about whether or not it should be possible to use it on other people. Keep it simple and just have a location the map where you can walk in, and other members of your party have to remain outside (like visiting Lyssieth), so that it's just a personal choice that only you can make for yourself.

      2. Abortions and abortion related content or fetishes are not planned nor will be added, outside of mods.

        Pregnancies in LT are affected by the Arcane - a child grows from a mere fetus to an adult in just a few days. No matter how you twist it, it would always be murder unless you manage to abort 5 minutes right after the conception. And murder is a no-go in this game.

        If neither the pill nor the condom are enough for you then take the Barren perk. Alternatively, you don't have to raise or even deal with your kids if you don't want to. And the component of rape in this game just means you have to be extra careful and plan your battles accordingly, in order to avoid a situation you don't want to. There are also toggles to disable non-con.

        In other words, there are plenty of alternatives and solutions.

      3. Aborting a fetus isn't murder. That's a surprisingly conservative opinion for a game that's so liberal in every other regard. Slavery is okay, but terminating an unwanted pregnancy isn't?

      5. Let's not turn this into a moralistic debate about the nature of abortion because that's not the point and this isn't the place for it.

        The long and short of it is that Inno doesn't want to add it. And just because the game has slavery and rape in it doesn't mean anything and everything is fair game, otherwise she would have to add violence, death, scat, gore, necrophilia and loli/shota content as well (which she won't).

        The point is, the developer gets to decide what (official) content gets added and which one doesn't. If she doesn't like something, she's not going to add it, no matter what opinion or stance we may have in the subject. You're free to disagree with her reasoning and/or choices, but do keep in mind that at the end of the day the game is still hers.

        You want this sort of thing, wait for mods. (Scat, gore, loli/shota are forbidden in Discord by the way. Discussing, suggesting or sharing such content there warrants a ban. Just FYI.)

    9. Any plans for reporting an alleyway attacker to fail if the attacker is too strong? I have one I've been failing to on purpose to get them to a high level, and it just feels wrong that I can get the enforcers that are low level to just bonk them out like that.

    10. I've started the Rat Warrens quest, but where are the Rat Warrens on the map? I can't find them.

    11. I played the old rat warrens stuff, and you could get taken by Vengar, are we still able to do that or do we only get put with Murk? is there something i dont know about how to get taken by Vengar?

      1. I may be wrong but I think Vengar taking you as slave and parading you around was taken away. It's only Murk now.

      5. Alright, I've done more playtesting, so I can answer some questions:

        1. You can get captured and made into a "milker" (sad stuff, there) by Murk, should you lose to Vengar.

        2. I haven't been able to test directly challenging Vengar due to a bugged out "Challenge" button. But, I managed to provoke a fight with Vengar by at first "Kneel"ing to him, then "Refuse"-ing to let him use me as a footrest. This provokes a fight with bodyguards Silence and Shadow. (Protip: Take down Silence, first, if you intend to actually win.) Lose the fight, and you'll be captured, transformed, and led to a bad end.

      6. 3. It's not really a "bad end" unless you want it to be, it seems. There's this mechanism in play where you can allow yourself to submit to Murk often enough to a point where you no longer can resist him. You can experience the extent of captivity and retain the ability to break free so long as you maintain some rebelliousness throughout the process. So, it's still a "bad end" path with an escape route (as before, I believe).

    12. Same annon that was asking about vengar, that exploit where you could take stuff from a shopkeep's stock after enchanting a singular stack item is still there.

    13. I have found out that my previous problem with 3.9.0 is actually my char being an elemental, since there is no transformation available (cheats included) for elementals.

    14. I really like the new content (as it caters to come of my specific fetishes- sisification is fun to see in the game in a story way) but is there only the one ending resolution (Spoilers) with Vengar captured and enslaved?

      I poked around looking for a way to side with him/warn him about the betrayal since I liked the idea of him 'going legit' and sticking around to fuck with Axel/Lexa and potentially your PC, but near as I can tell all versions that don't end with you defeated end with him and Murk enslaved.

        I usually try to answer people's questions help out whenever I can... and I could quote the blogpost where it answers your questions but hand-feeding people too many times usually leads to bad habits. Lilith's Throne is a text-based game, if you're so lazy that you can't even be bothered read the developer's posts then this game isn't for you and you shouldn't be here.

      3. That's not a "when", that's a "what version". Knowing inno, we're going to see the fields 8 updates from now in 2022.

    17. Bit of a nitpick, or maybe a bug report. When using The Watering Hole to search for a partner, I find that the vast majority of partners I find all have submissive fetishes even tho they are supposed to be the dominant partner.

    18. Anyone know if Innoxia is going to add pets in the game?

      1. This is the last thing anyone should care about. And I don't think Inno plans on adding any of THAT kind of content, so that goes doubly so.

      2. Post revamp, elementals are now able to transform themselves into pets. So, in a sense, they are are both a familiar and a pet. As for having actual animals as one, there doesn't seem to be any plans for it.

        When Foloi Fields expansion rolls in, ferals are going to be added and they are the closest thing we will have to proper animals. May want to keep an eye on that and see if it interests you.

    19. I've been using an older save. Everything seems to work except for some reason My elemental has none of her skills equipped, including the base skills she needs to use any of her abilities. As a result I cannot give her any skills making her almost useless in combat, the points for adding them are remembered however. Is there a way to reset this?

      1. Have you tried to start a new game and see if the issue persists? Using an older save may be the cause. Although the game works with older saves, it is usually a good idea to start fresh every time a core system is revamped.

      2. I was able to fix it unequipping my elemental, dispelling her, then going into the save file with Notepad+ and deleting her NPC data. When I resummoned the Elemental she was fixed. Much better than having to start a new game.

    20. Are elementals no longer able to join in group sex or is there a way that I've somehow missed?

      1. The companion system is no longer being supported and as of a few versions prior to this one, been placed behind a toggle that you can enable in the game's options (or when you start a new game) to experience things as they were.

        Elementals have been revamped to accommodate these changes and are, currently, the only companion (aside from temporary NPCs) that you can bring up to a fight, however, they will no longer partake in group sex like they used to. Again, all of this assuming you left the toggle off.

    21. Is the glory hole scene broken or am I just a goober? In previous versions (from a few months back)you could request how you were serviced but now you are at the whim of the NPC on the other side. Did I miss an update notification?

    22. It's nice to see you finding your stride Inno.

      I posted some suggestions about combat that I will repost now because this update came out a day after I posted it and I doubt you saw it.

      I wanted to bring up combat once again. I am still unsure if combat is a focus in the game at all. But I still feel most if not all problems in this game can be solved by brute forcing damage. I have a couple suggestions to make it a little more challenging without necessarily changing damage numbers.

      A barrier or shield system that people with moderate to high skill with Arcane can get at the start of battle when they are prepared. It could have a VERY high resistance to physical/magic damage but be easily broken down by your lust attacks. It wouldn't be a huge change but I feel it'd stop people from just mashing ATTACK-ATTACK-CRITATTACK.

      Make lust gain a slow burn unless they are already horny. IE some thug coming at you with intent to rape you is probably already fired up. But a mage who's stronghold you just kicked the door down to is probably not so much. So make it those are low lust have more resistance to lust attacks but that resistance will wear down until they are taking lust damage like normal.

      Cantrips for low level mages; current mage destroys early game arcane pool and is very strong. How about some weaker low cost magic (Unless that's what crystal attacks are meant to be? But that's still just auto attacking you know?) that have weaker but more unique effects?

      Have rando mobs focus to their strengths; why would Jill the rapist come at me with a bat only to put it down and try to charm me into sex (poorly)? Why would these 4 foot nothing harpies who's MAIN source of defense seems to be charming their opponent, suddenly stop and try to *Punch* me? Let the harpies use lust attacks more often and try for fetish attacks. Let the rando muggers attack more viciously and play to their strength.
