Goals for 0.2.4

Hello everyone, here's the post in which I set out my goals for 0.2.4! ^^

For this version, I'm going to mainly be continuing my work from 0.2.3. I'll be adding content for each of the locations in Submission, as well as unique encounters for the slimes, bat-morphs, and other races down there. I'll also be finishing off the spell system, and adding the companion system that I had planned for the combat rework (which got pushed back due to other things getting in the way). I also want to get more slavery content added, as well as starting to get some content written for the 'Nightlife' area.

All of these goals are aimed for the full release on 25th April, but I'll do my very best to get as many of them completed for the github/Patreon update this Wednesday, 18th April. (Expect Wednesday's release to run into the early hours of Thursday morning, GMT.) :3

Goals for 0.2.4:

- Add Submission content. (Special encounters for Bat-morphs, Slimes, and other races. Add slime TF quest. Adding content for the Imp fortresses, Gambling Den, and Bat caverns.)

- Adding in the next stage of the main quest (earning an audience with Lyssieth).

- Finish the spell system and add a few more weapons.

- Add the companion/party system. (This will be quite basic to begin with, and will most likely just be for taking your slaves along with you.)

- Add in a mod template for items, clothing, weapons, and sex actions.

- Improve slavery jobs & interactions (winner of Patreon content poll).

- Start adding in Nightlife content (winner of a more recent Patreon content poll).

- Fix bugs and sort out github issues and PRs.

- Write a guide for user submitted content.

(I know I don't always meet all of my goals in each version, but I like to set myself a lot of targets so that I'm motivated to work really hard! ^^)

  1. This is the first time i've tried this game, and i really enjoyed it but I cannot figure out how to save. When i go back to the main menu and click the save/load screen and type a name for the file and then click the save icon..... nothing happens. I am using the java version, and from what i've looked around for, I haven't seen anybody else with this problem.

    1. Have you extracted the game from out of the .zip? Running the game from within the zip file will cause that problem.

Other causes (that I'm aware of) are:
      1. The game doesn't have necessary write permissions (if you're on Windows, then right-click -> properties -> security -> make sure "write" is allowed).
      2. There is a '#' character in the file path. (I don't know why this causes an issue, but it does. :s)

I need to get to sleep now (as it's past 7 in the morning for me here), but if you're still encountering a problem, the players on the LT discord are very helpful, and you could try hopping on there and asking in #lilith_chat. (You could also PM me on Discord, and I'll answer you when I wake up. ^^)

The issue with the # characters is because you're using a StreamResult to process the saving, and those use URIs instead of file paths. The # character isn't special in file paths, but it is in URIs. It's a bug with Java, it should escape those but it doesn't.

  2. I remember, at one point, it was mentioned that multi-partner sex was going to be added to 'random' encounters. Which made me wonder; I'm assuming that it'd be something like "5% chance at 2-person encounter" or somesuch.

But... How simple would it be to make different probabilities based on race? Like, you could argue that a Horse/alligator morph would be most likely to be solitary for reasons of pride, so they'd get a much lower chance, but maybe Rats or Imps would have a significantly increased chance just because it's much harder to take someone down when you're so ~tiny~.

Just wondering whether it's easily doable?

    1. Horse morphs ought to travel in herds.

      Delete
    2. Yeah I was about to say... Horses are herd animals.

      Delete
    3. Still, they aren't actually animals. Each of them is a person. Race gives some aptitude, but not fully defines them.

  3. oooooooooooooh cant wait to take my slaves out for walkies! violent beat em up styled walkies that end with them knocking up EVERYBODY while i check their discarded clothes for loot. thanks again for your hard work! cant wait for everything to get up and running and all the new stuffs to explore

  4. Setting many targets to meet some of them...that's actually...quite brilliant. I never thought of it that way. Sure, it may look less favorable publicaly but it guarantees results which is more important in the long run.

  5. Will there be any plan for a viable physical build later done the road when the spell system is fully completed? For now, the physical status feel more as a buff to health rather than reliable way to dish out damage and I feel like it's a pretty huge missed opportunity.

Maybe add some kind of dojo to the Arcade where player character can learn physical technique for those with ryona fetish? Or want to cosplay as an anime/game/manga character that uses physical technique? And speaking of possible new Arcade establishment... maybe a restaurant type to send the slaves to work as servers or chef?

Going back to buffing health... will there be future plan to have some kind of enemy (possibly higher level demon type) that use aura sucking moves to primarily damage a player's aura, so there need to be bigger trade off between using spells for extra damage and banking them to not get defeated in battle.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lore-wise, viable pure physical builds would have no sense. Magic is a true power of that world. Some kind of mixed style with self-buffs at most.

Aura sucking is also not plausable in lore. You have to make them submit to tap their aura, not vice versa. In fact, aura stat is kinda misnamed - is more like concentration or morale which should be broken before messing with their aura.

    2. Thanks for the explanation, I admit most of my question comes more from the pure mechanics implemented in the game rather than read all the lines to fully grasp the lore.

It just occur to me as strange most enemies uses pure physical attack rather than magic (On top of my head only Brax and characters in Zaranix mansion encounter use magic in combat, not even the three harpy bosses), yet there's no real skill developed in the world for any fighting style since you'd expect some kind of physical skill would be naturally form in the game's world if most inhabitant can't afford to buy magic, or can't learn it for the lower to mid tier encounters.

      Delete
    3. Only demons are commonly able to use magic (at least from currently implemented races). Magic users are rare amongst other races. Low-tier encounters are against thugs, muggers and other scum, who probably can't afford proper fighting lessons as well. Enforcers probably should be somewhat proficient, but only one of them you can only fight is Brax. Even if there would be some kind of technique for NPCs, player should not be able to efficiently use it against really strong enemies, so it would be mostly fluff.

      Delete
    4. I suppose that explanation makes sense. The thing that make me feel like there could be a physical stats oriented fighting style is mainly the Harpy Nest side quest. The three Matriarchy doesn't have anything special with them all have less than 50 health and does very little damage. They don't feel like someone who realistically give Enforcers challenge despite them being important leaders of the three flock (I fought common spawn wolf morphes harder than them). And considering the most common solution of the quest is to beat them in a fight, it can't be said they don't assume their dominance of their respective flock with strength. The Harpy Nest encounter definitely feel like they need some rework to make the three Matriarch to at least be the level of Brax fight.

Personally I don't mind some physical based skill being more fluff than effective damage output against high level encounters if it provides some more roleplaying alternatives. And it's fairly easy to make some content revolving physical based skill if Innoxia wants to. Maybe add some kind of tournament side questline where players are restricted to not use magic (since most inhabitant can't use magic, a tournament where everything goes won't exactly be fair). There could be a colosseum location where inhabitant goes for their daily entertainment, or some kind of underground fight/gamble ring. A lots of opportunities to add side content.

But as I said before, it's more of a missed opportunity rather than a flaw. Ultimately it depends on what Innoxia is interested in making unless future update support custom made location/quest mods.

Musician is better IMO. Spell damage can be easily gained, and 25% experinece is not that much.

  6. I have 2 questions.
First, in the description of maid work there is "dealing with visitors". I think it doesn't involves sexual activities, right? I don't wanna share my slaves with others.
Second, I don't know if it's implemented yet(cause I was behind a few versions and I just updated) but if it's not can you make an option to keep my offspring in the mansion? I mean after birth they disappear(I know I can meet them on the street and enslave them but I would preferably never let them go in the first place)
    Sorry for bad englando

    1. The servants are the first to greet visitors; they greet them at the door, orient them to the living room or another place to wait for your arrival (master/mistress of the house) they also offer refreshments and tend to the luggage they may have - this is what they mean by "dealing with visitors".

    3. Also lore-wise offspring in Lilith's world are born with a strong sense of independence, that combined with their hyper growth rate is why they tend to leave as soon as possible. For now, if you want them to live under the same roof as you you'll have to find them first and proceed to enslave them (prostitution without a license is illegal). So far this is the only way but in the future there may be alternatives.

  7. So I just found your game, very impressed and basically fell in love instantly, but I've been wondering... Will insect-morphs like spiders, bees, ants, moths/butterflies and mantises eventually be a part? Mostly asking because it'd be so hot if ovipositor egg laying content became a thing.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Spiders, bees, wasps, moths and ants are planned, same as ovipositor content. It is still a bit far off though, the 0.3.0+ area (Foloi Fields) will introduce the first bugs morphs.

  9. A couple questions, if you have time:
    1) Will it ever be possible to have offspring invited to stay with you rather than enslaved?
    2) This is a bigger one (and if I've missed how to do this, please let me know). I've found that when enchanting, I have several clothing and potion enchantments that I repeat over and over. Could a system where we save enchantment "sets" be done to rapidly reapply complex or numerous enchantments (e.g. I could enchant a ring for my slave with a few different enchantments, save it and apply those to a piercing for a different slave or for myself, etc.)? And maybe a way to enchant multiple items in a stack simultaneously (e.g. I want to give all my slaves the same kinks, and I have 15 Mystery Kinks saved up so I enchant 10 of them in one go)? This would make things much more simple for minimizing repetitious actions.
Thanks for all the time you've put into this awesome game!

    1. I was of a same mind as Anon here about #1, and I had another idea: instead of having to remove clothing during sex one-by-one, make it so that you can remove them in one go.

    2. I think the first one is planned and the second has been discussed on the Discord channel.

    3. if you select a clothing item during sex, and switch to overview, you can displace/unequip everything from either persons body, speeding things up a lot

      Delete
    4. You can already do that, Ivan. Just hit the inventory menu and hit the button for unequip all.

I would consider it better to set goals you know you should be able to complete, and consider being able to do more than that a bonus myself, but as long as you aren't beating yourself up over failing to meet your goals it doesn't really matter. That's the really important thing, I think; if it bothers you that you don't get all your goals met, aim for less. If it doesn't bother you, don't worry about it.

  11. Really, more slave interaction/content is the way to go.
And by that I mean more interactions between slaves (sexual and otherwise). Hate/love developing. Semi-random scenes and events.
More logic behind events, such as:
    - slaves working in same location have increased chance of interacting
    - slaves sharing a room have greatly increased chances
    - libido (corruption) affecting how often a slave might seek relief and how willing it is to find another slave
    - fetishes help determine targets (a dom might prefer a sub, etc..)

Simple events like slaves getting into a fight, a slave doing a really good job or a really bad one (for example, breaking something while cleaning) with you deciding on award/punishment, slave that has permission to walk outside getting into trouble, etc..

  12. Just recently started checking this out thanks to Fen's shout out and enjoying it. There's a certain charm to turn based sex than just having it all written out for you.

Though I'm not sure if I'm 100% on the combat. Is it mostly going to be based on the stones and magic? Or are there/will there be physical weapons to use?

Is there some option to sell "all clothes" in the inventory or will there be such in some update? Selling every piece of cloth takes most of my gameplay time....

  15. I wonder if elemental transformatives will be a thing far into the future. Perhaps having fire elemental part increases your fire damage on a percentage-per-part thing? I don't know, might be cool. Storm elementals might introduce electrocution fetish too. Perhaps cum may be affected as well, resulting in glowing red hot cum for the fire elemental.

  16. Innoxia, I assume if it's going to be put into the game it wouldn't be anywhere near now. But are you going to add your companions being fuck when you bring them with you, or any options for that? I think it would be really good for the Voyeurist fetish, watching your companions get fucked etc...

Yes, it is indeed planned :)

  17. Some things;

-All harpies in the Harpy Nests only like girls. This makes this section for a submissive straight male character just tedious. The encounters you have to go through halts the game, and not in a fun way.
The athlete job allows you to skip all encounters, but it's still a bit slow.
The accepting punishment on behalf of Scarlett was a bit nice though.

-Speaking of combat, what's the point of physical damage, if magical damage is always higher? I chose athlete job, invest all my clothing and perks into physical damage, yet magical damage always does more.
There are no weapons other than magic crystals/feathers, maybe that's why.

-I can filter out furry types, but not imps, slimes, and demons?
I don't mind those type of creatures, but I didn't saw the option. I also couldn't find any slimes or imps either actually. Are they turned off if you disable all furry content?

-I don't want to be a slaver, yet the mainquest requires me to do so.
It costs 5000 to get a slaver's license, and 10 000 to free/enslave Scarlett. I have to grind for money now, which isn't something I want to do in a porn game.

-When I click "Do nothing" in sex, I'm still doing something. Either humping/grinding or trying to escape.
Would have liked to have an option to stay passive.

-Someone said this before, but I'll say it again; I really like Amber and her content. That was very good.

They like feminine types. Girly boy would be fine too.

      > Speaking of combat, what's the point of physical damage, if magical damage is always higher?
Not all enemies can do magic. But for those who can do magic there is no lore-friendly way to do that without willingly handicap themselves.

      > I can filter out furry types, but not imps, slimes, and demons?
Demons are a major part of the main plot, furries are not.

      > When I click "Do nothing" in sex, I'm still doing something.
It is actually more like "carry on" button.

    2. Honestly, I walk around Submission and pick up those Slime canisters, as well as whatever else I come across, and sell them. Doing that, combined with being a super-OP writer magic user, makes leveling up, gaining money, and maybe even receiving a decent amount of essences a breeze. Not only that, but if I make my girl a futa, I can stick her dick into as many slime boys as I want and make them pregnant. Gives me this weird sense of satisfaction knowing women aren't the only ones who have to suffer through childbirth...

Canisters are only temporarily there. It would be an unique quest reward.

      > Gives me this weird sense of satisfaction knowing women aren't the only ones who have to suffer through childbirth...

Slice of lore: Gender is a matter of aestetical preference for slimes. Birthing is effortless for slimes.
