Version 0.1.79 delay

I'm really sorry to have to make another post like this, but the full version of 0.1.79 is going to have to be delayed by a few days.

There are a few reasons for this:

1. The new sex pace mechanic is requiring a huge amount of new variations to be written. I need to write slightly different versions for each action, taking into account what pace the sub and dom are in for each one. This work is taking a very long time, but I think it will be worth it in the end.

2. The previous method of how sex actions were being added to scenes was a big mess. As I'm sure you've probably noticed, a lot of options were present in some scenes, but absent in others. For example, the 'sitting in chair' position was the only one that allowed for tail penetrations, so I'm reorganising all the sex actions so that every position will have the actions that it should. This is also taking a long time to implement.

3. Finally, and most importantly, I have some concerns about the non-con content that I was planning on adding. The law on non-con literature in my country is very vague and confusing, so I'm trying to get some legal advice before putting it into the game for this next update. This is the main reason that this week's release is delayed, as I don't want to risk putting content into the game that may be illegal for me to do so.

With these points in mind, I'm going to say that the release will be out on Monday 12th. It will still probably be a 'preview' build, as it's highly likely that not all of the sex positions will have been fully updated.

P.S. I will be working over the weekend to try and get as much finished as I possibly can by Monday. I'm really sorry about yet another delay. ;_;

  1. "aw man another delay, i wonder wh--
oh stupid countries with stupid laws by stupid people making it possibly illegal to *write fictional words*. Ok."

Seriously though, I'm not sure there's a more acceptable reason for a delay, short of "my computer was hit by a meteorite" or "i have dick cancer". Time and tide may wait for no one, but waiting for smut often makes it that much better when it hits.

    1. I was going to write "Waiting > No smut", but Gads comment is so much better!

  2. Oh Well... I guess i will go out and drink this weekend instead of turning fictional people into pregnant giantesses and leave Brax cumbathed and cum filled anally

  3. I just want you to know that we enjoy what you are doing here and that it is fine to take your time with this. If legal reasons are going to be an issue, don't add it in. The law can do diddly-squat if someone else mods it into your game. I know of some certain boards willing to do this should it be necessary.

  4. Take your time man most of us are fine waiting for you to finish your work. I'm really interested in seeing how this pace mechanic works out.

  5. Thanks again everyone for your understanding. ^^

I received a response from the lawyer I contacted, who tells me that it's legal to add the content I was planning (the non-consensual stuff). The other two reasons for the delay still stand, so the release will still be Monday (with the start of the non-consensual content in). ^^

    1. Will we be able to block this content? I have nothing against non-consensual content in a game, but I certainly don't wan't to read it. Please.

    2. Yes, the way I understand it it will be disabled by default and you'd need to enable it yourself.

    3. I can confirm what koolgam3r said; the non-con content will be disabled by default, and you'll be able to toggle it on/off at any time in the options menu. ^^

  6. Do you have a patreon or some way to support the game? I'd gladly donate since you're working so hard on the game, there's a lot of games bringing in thousands of dollars and the creators put out tiny updates once a month to milk the cash.

    1. She's planning to have one in the future (around 0.2.0 version). Yes, there are a lot of game devs that exploit their contributors. She, however, will not do that.

    2. I currently have no way of accepting donations or support, but I am planning on making a patreon soon (maybe at the start of next month). I'm being very careful about it, as I know that a lot of people see patreon in a very negative way (having been used to "milk" patrons in the past).

I'm going to put up a post here on the blog some time within the next couple of weeks, outlining my plan of how the patreon will work. I want to be very transparent about this, and I will give everyone at least two weeks to respond to the post and point out flaws in my plan before I start to accept donations.

One key point that I want to stress is that the source code will be made public at the same time as the patreon is opened, so there will be no "patron exclusive" early builds (as anybody will be able to build it from the source at any time). I might be releasing the preview builds only to patrons (remember, non-patrons will still be able to build the game at any time!), but I have several reasons for that, which I'll explain in the patreon post.

Just remember, everyone will have an opportunity to scrutinise and offer feedback on my patreon plans, so if you don't like the sound of what I've said here, you'll be able to discuss it with me when I make the patreon post (in about 2 weeks)! ^^

    3. I will gladly "patreonize" you as well. You already did a lot of work, your gameplay concept is interesting and is a step forward from the other games of the 'genre', and you update us regularly on your advances and difficulties

By source code, do you mean the java classes used for the game?
I have a project, which is currently stuck as a concept because I lack the time to build all the JavaFX interface, so using your interfaces as a starting point would actually be a godsend.
As a return, I would gladly review your code, if I have the time.

    4. also remember since you will make the source code legal you will need to stress the point that all things created for the game is meant for the game so that if you happen to add the content in officially or the creator leaves you can still use it with ought permission or threat of a lawsuit.

    5. Kln, you'll be able to see all of the Java classes that make up the game, so you'll be able to see how I've used JavaFX. ^^

And thanks for the advice Kevin, I'll make sure to include a license to that effect when I make the source code public. ^^
