Version 0.1.83 Progress post

Hello everyone! ^^

This is a post to report on my current progress towards version 0.1.83, which will be released on August 18th. I've managed to get a lot of bugs fixed, added a lot of clothing, as well as getting the Alexa/Scarlett content mostly finished. I'm going to work on the rest of the goals over the coming week, and I'm optimistic that I'll be able to get them all finished in time for the release next Friday! ^^

If you're supporting me on patreon, you can get a preview build of the game on there. If not, I update the public github at the same rate as preview releases, so you can build the preview from there if you'd like.

These patch notes are what's included in the preview version that I build for Patreon. This is not the full release (which is released to everyone at the same time on 18th August)! You can build the game at any time from the public github!


Version 0.1.83 current progress:


  • Gameplay:
    • Added: (Most of) Alexa & Scarlett main quest content.
      Added: Nikki, the manager of Slaver Alley's new 'Slave Administration' building. (Sells BDSM gear and slave collars once you get a slaver license.)
      Slightly changed Slaver Alley's map.
      Added 'Barren' perk.
      Locked Brax's forced transformation behind the 'Transformation' fetish.
  • Clothing:
    • Added: Bandana (no femininity requirements, mouth slot).
      Added: Tiara (feminine, head slot).
      Added: Arm wraps (no femininity requirements, hand slot).
      Added: Cowboy hat (no femininity requirements, head slot).
      Added: Mega Milk T-shirt (no femininity requirements, torso slot). Has a 1% chance to spawn in the 'Found clothing' event in alleyway tiles.

    • Changed: You can now only find bottled essences after starting the 'Enchantments & Essences' quest.
      Split up and changed the debug menu's money/essence gain option from +100 flames/+1 essence to +1000 flames/+10 essences.
      Reduced the arousal gain penalty while resisting from -75% to -50%.
      Added a 0.5% chance to find an Eggplant in the alleyways. (Why did I do this?)
  • AI:
    • NPCs with the pure virgin or lusty maiden status effects should no longer use sex actions that will cause them to lose their virginity.
  • Bugs:
    • Fixed major bug where you could get stuck in your phone's menu if you opened the 'characters present' window during combat.
      Fixed some typos.
      Fixed the cause of the occasional game freeze when pressing 'Take all'. (Thanks sinstrudel.)
      Fixed 'broken maiden' status effect being applied even if you didn't have the 'lusty maiden' fetish.
      Cum addicts will no longer ask you to pull out when they're giving you a blowjob.
      Removed old reference to non-con in options menu.
      Dominant doggy-style orgasm should now correctly apply pregnancy chances.
      Sex stats should now correctly track how many loads of cum you've given in each sex type.
      If you have maximum attribute values (100 in strength, intelligence, and fitness), your phone will no longer highlight if you have attribute points to spend.
      Fixed some incorrect detection of body part values.
      Fixed bug where Kate's into scene would repeat every time you entered her store.
      Fixed duplicate virginity loss descriptions in selfie.
      Fixed bug where the Jinxed, Enchantments, and Pregnancy quests would sometimes not trigger correctly.
      Fixed some bugs related to incorrect fur descriptions in TFs. (Thanks Rfpnj.)
      Fixed bug in sex that would cause you to be unable to choose any action other than 'Use item'. (Thanks strudel.)
      Fixed bug where fetishes wouldn't reset correctly sometimes.

    Version 0.1.83PHF Hotfix:


  • Engine:
    • Improved quest handling methods.
  • Gameplay:
    • Changed: You can now obtain a slaver license at the very start of the game. Simply go to the Slaver Administration building (in Slaver Alley) and ask about it there. ^^
      Added: Squirrel-morphs. These are mostly going to be found in the Fields area, but there's a small chance of encountering them in Dominion's alleyways as well. (Added by rfpnj. Think you! :3)
      Added: Squirrel Java, Round Nuts, Chasing Squirrels, and Bottled Squirrel-morph Essence.
      Changed: Nikki's name to Finch.
  • Sex:
    • Added: Power-bottom doggy-style position. (Added by BelshazzarII. Thank you! :3)
      NPCs will now displace and remove mouth-concealing clothing during sex.
  • Clothing:
    • Added: Thigh-high socks (feminine, foot slot).
      Added two more metal colours (platinum and rose gold). (Added by rfpnj. :3)
      Ball gags can no longer be displaced by being 'pulled out'. They must be removed to gain access to the wearer's mouth.
  • Other:
    • Clothing which blocks multiple slots now have more powerful enchantments.
      Choosing to start as an androgynous male will now give you a flat chest instead of AA-cup breasts. (I'm going to give you a lot more control over this when I redo the character creation screen.)
      Combined the 'Explore' and 'Look for trouble' actions in the harpy nests (after you've completed the Angry Harpies quest).
  • Bugs:
    • Fixed: Bug where nipples and urethras were always being described as being fuckable.
      Fixed the more powerful version of the arcane storm debuff being applied to your character.
      Typo fixes.
      You should now be able to correctly remove harpies from their tiles.
      NPCs will now stop equipping more and more clothing after each sexual encounter.
      Fixed bug where NPCs who aren't attracted to you would always choose to have sex after combat. (This was only working correctly before if you had non-con enabled.)
      Ralph's discount is now unavailable if you're unable to access your mouth.
      Fixed bug where turning Brax into Bree would give you multi-breasts instead of her.
      Fixed a bug where the 'Buy all' option for clothing would freeze the game.
      Fixed bugs in the 'Buy all' option for clothing, items, and weapons.
      Added correct fetish associations for tail-in-anus actions.
  • Extra Bugs:
    • Fixed bug where you'd get stuck in Scarlett's shop at the end of the current main quest's content.
      Fixed bug where main quest couldn't be progressed when starting with an imported character.
      Day of birth stat should now be correctly working for birthed litters.
      Fixed some incorrect descriptions in the dominant doggy-style orgasm scene.
      Fixed some inaccurate descriptions in Lilaya's house.
      Hard-working Maid status effect now also has an NPC-perspective description.
      Fixed some incorrect NPC reactions to having your chest revealed during sex.

      Can you add the ability to move the stats bar during sex scenes?
      Don't know if anyone has complained about this yet but after you get too many fetishes, seeing their "sex stats" and bars is impossible. Your own stat screen occupies the whole space. I didn't find a way to move that side window too and at this point I don't think there IS a way of doing so.

    2. So i think it was asked once before, but you're doing slavery content for the pc to own slaves. More of a submissive fan myself, are you planning on doing anything that lets the PC become a slave?

      2. Have you thought about "previous dependent transformation" transformations?

        The thought I've been having is a Kitsune/Nogitsune transformation become available for Fox morphs, taking effort/a hard to find item to unlock.

        Kitsune or Nogitsune depending on purity/corruption, a "Star Ball" item that only is available when you're a fox-morph.

        Increased intelligence at a strength cost.

        The star ball working by enchanting it with Arcane essences to increase your number of tails with increasing amounts of essence required.

        Harpy could become Phoenix, a future Lizard morph become Dragon, Humans to Angels (or as already planned Demons).

        Dogs to Cerberi, Cats to Sphinxes/Nekomata?

        It'd be hard I suppose, but having/dividing morphs into tiers could be an incentive for players to transform themselves (or others), but of course then there would need to be a pay-off for not changing as well.

      3. I'm going to rework the race detection method soon, so I should be able to add in detection for special 'cosmetic' races like that. e.g. Horse-morph could change to Zebra-morph if you have the right skin colour.

        As to making race be a prerequisite to TF'ing into more advanced races, I'm not sure if I want to go that route, but I'll give it some thought. ^^

    7. This is one of the best adult games out there. And it's only "0.1.8x" atm Oo
      I've got a bug to report. When a male PC impregnates Lily, she complains about how she said PC should pull out. I checked and didn't find anything in the logs. But maybe I missed it? :D

      1. From what I've noticed the pull out/creampie calls appear when you're at ~80 arousal, but sometimes the AI forgets to do it. It's probably a bug.

      3. Continuity issue between two separate things in the game. It's mostly because the scene isn't mechanically linked with the ability for NPC's to requesting in/out, even though it would make sense for them to affect one another. In the future, scripting her to ask for a pull-out, maybe even as a custom scene for just that encounter, could work.

        That said, interestingly enough you'll discover she's actually not really that off put by it. In later scenes she quickly shrugs the idea of carrying your offspring off, so it probably only annoys her in the sense that you didn't ask her if she'd be okay with it before hand, not that mothering your young really bothers her.

    11. A couple of other bugs, but I'm guessing these come from it being a preview version:

      Any urethra is listed as being penetrable by stallion-sized. Most, if not all, nipples are listed as being penetrable (though many don't allow it because of breast size). Also, if a flat-chested guy takes off his shirt, he gets "aww, are you trying to become a girl?" which I'm guessing isn't intentional - why would taking off my shirt mean I'm trying to become a girl?

      Also, is there meant to be a way to remove your child from a tile without attacking them? Currently that seems to be the only way, which - much like the bug I mentioned earlier wherein Harpy Nest harpies can't be removed without sex - isn't ideal, since attacking them is corruptive unless you take Sadist, which has a pretty serious combat penalty attached to it.

    12. I got into this game midway this week and so far it's really fun and enjoyable to play. Really good job on creating something that feels that way even so early into the whole creation process, usually versions prior to 0.3 or 0.4 feel barely sustainable but not in this case ^.^

      So, the plans for the next version include the ability to build up relationships with randomly generated NPCs? Will they accept transformative items during consensual scenes? It still feels a little weird that willing submission scenes are still listed as nonconsensual and I sort of imagine the character would feel bad forcing transformative items on NPCs that I actually like, though I am experimenting with them via save-scumming and on NPCs with randomly generated transformative fetish.

        This next version is going to add the start of romance mechanics (building up relationships with random NPCs), but it's something that will be expanded upon over the next few weeks as well. I'll definitely add ways to TF your partners during consensual sex (and also out of sex). ^^

      I think some kinda map for areas would be a great idea. I only found the shopping center after 2 ingame days. Next quest location after 1 week...

      1. There is a button to zoom out the minimap somewhat. There are also options in your room, the entrance hall, and the lab to quick travel around the mansion. I hope this helps.

      2. What minimap, do you mean those (at max) four buttons for directions? They don't help at all cause I don't know WHERE I am. If I am at the other end of the city and want back to the mansion there is no MAP to show what ways I should take.

        This is a general problem. Shopping arcade for example is the same. Yes there are buttons to instant teleport (except in the Shopping Arcade for going back to the entrance), but in the mansion I would miss the HANDHOLDING action with the slave cat-girl maid.

      3. There should be a minimap looking like the blurred one on Innoxia's Patreon header (https://www.patreon.com/innoxia)
        In the patch notes in the game is an Important Note to update your Java if you can't see a minimap. (That's something you should always check for Java. You don't want all those security holes around :D)

    14. Decided to mix and max racial traits to make a faux griffon. Think only thing missing is feathery wings (using harpy arms as the replacement for that atm).

      1. I just updated the patch notes for the hotfix in the OP. ^^

        I had planned on adding squirrel-morphs later on in the Fields area, but 'rfpnj' kindly added them in and submitted a pull request, which I merged into the game. Squirrel-morphs are going to be found a lot in the Fields area, but there's also a small chance of running into them in Dominion as well. ^^

    18. Hey Innoxia . Im wondering since slavery is get and closer and close. Well maybe you could give us the option to buy Brax ( whether as male or female ) from the officer. Then we could engage in a quest that either helps us break his willpower or make him more submissive and slutty or you could "purify" him. Purifying him could give real affection to the player and maybe other perks. And if you intend to add group fights ( like Fall of Eden) he could become a party memeber.

      Note : I'm not telling you to add it. Im just suggesting an idea to expand more on Brax if you have nothing more planned for him.

      Also could we have a plot heavy update afterwards ? I personally love storytelling and plotworks.

        I really do want to move on to writing the plot and all the other content I have planned, but I have a last few things to get done in the engine first. When version 0.2.0 hits, that will be when all the engine work is done, and I'll finally be moving 100% of my focus to writing content. ^^

    19. I've built the game but can't get it to run. It is a .zip and I cannot find anything to run in the zip or any program that runs it when you open the file. I don't know what I've done wrong.

      1. I'm not sure what could be going wrong. Have you downloaded the game from one of the links here on the blog, or did you build it from github yourself?

      2. Crash hear, sounds like you don't have a program to use compressed files. In that case, I'd recommend looking up the program 7zip and using that. 7zip is mostly designed to compress files and folders to make them smaller in size and make them easier to move around from one source to another, like between hard drives. In your case, it will allow you to take a compressed folder and extract the contents of it for use.

      3. Hey I'm back, I do have a program that lets me use compressed files and extract them, but once I've built it from github I don't know how to get it to run. I'm not great with computers and I imagine I've messed up something simple. I followed the github build instructions exactly though.

        You could try joining the discord and asking for help there, as you'd be able to get a lot quicker responses than here on the blog.

        The next full release will be out Friday (or maybe Saturday if I have to delay it), so you could wait until then.

        I'm sorry I'm not able to offer better help than that, the whole github stuff is still really new to me as well. :(

Hey Innoxia, i've been following the commits and merges on the github for few days, and i have few suggestions for you (mind you, i dont know your workflow, but i would guess you don't want to be buried in bad code and spending half your time fixing it and putting out fires created by that code, like FCdev is doing know with free cities github)

      First of all, tell people that pull requesting uncompilable code is absolutely unacceptable. (looking @ you commits c4e04d0 and cb018e6) We live in an age of freeware, high quality IDE's that even automate fixing the code in few clicks. There's no excuse for requesting a pull on code that won't compile, and that wasn't merged with latest changes on master.

      Also, consider branching more. Have one branch for what you are doing on your own, and then have a branch for contributors. Then merge them into master. Will make the work much easier in the long run, even if merges might be more involved at times.

      Alternatively, make it mandatory for everyone who pull requests to merge master into their branch AND testing it, just before requesting the pull, so that all you need to do is click approve.

      Running in circles trying to figure out which pull request broke the software is not what you want to be doing :)

        I'm very new to using git and collaborating with others, so I might make a few mistakes here and there as I learn. Maybe I should make a 'dev' branch for merges, then I could merge it into the master branch when I know it's all working?

      2. It only depends on wether or not you want master to be in a "last known working state". If you want to have that so that people can always checkout a working (even if bit old) code from master or if you dont really care about it. If you don't care, dev branch is redundant.

        There is infinite number of ways to set up your repository/workflow, but when i use code repos, i found it beneficial to have branches:
        1) master - where the latest stable release is
        2) dev - where the development happens
        3) -dev - where particular change is being implemented.

        Workflow would look like this:
        I want to add X to software. I create X-dev branch, forked from current dev branch. I implement changes in X-dev branch. When i tested everything i merge dev branch into X-dev branch and test again, to make sure other people's changes did not interfere with my code. Then i merge X-branch into dev.

        When enough changes made it to dev branch to warrant a release, i move into (my personal nomenclature) 'merge-lock' where no more merges with dev are performed, until release is done. They'll just have to wait. I test dev branch and iron out any issues, commiting into dev branch itself. Lastly i merge dev into master, moving master from last release to next one. Work can resume immediatly on dev branch.

        Of course, it all depends on the scale of the project and number of contributors. There is a balance between having strict repository rules and having a chaos in repo. Too much in either way and you will be frustrated, either at spending more time managing git than coding (too strict rules) or just being flooded with code.

        I also strongly recommend one-by-one merges of pull requests. Merge one, test, if game doesn't work, revert the merge and tell author to fix the issue. If everything checks out, move to next pull request. I know it's tempting to just accept all pull requests and see what comes out, but that will get you frustrated as well :)

      3. Oh, one more thing, in the state master is right now, the reworked quest code halts main questline progress at MAIN_PROLOGUE. It seems that the trigger to move to Liliana's tests is missing, as when i advanced it "manually" via code hack, it all works well from then on.

        There might also be an issue with detecting finished quests, but can't remember the details now, sorry.

        I'll add to my first reply, last paragraph (about one-by-one merges) - this is the benefit if working in separate branches: When your own changes are in your own branch, and you know dev branch is working (with maybe few bugs), you can merge pull requests and see immediatly if something broke. That way you know if the issue is the pull request. If you were performing changes in dev, it could be either your changes, pull request, or combination of both. Makes searching for issue MUCH faster.

      I've got one idea and one bug:
      - the bug: I tried to grow avian horns, but the game thought I already had horns and the potion was ineffective. I'm a level 4 partial wolf girl (with no horns).
      - the idea: I find the game a bit too easy atm. I'd like to have some more risk (esp playing the new maiden fetish). Maybe adding an option to lower exp by a certain percentage or having some rare high level enemies appear?

    24. Well, here's a couple of random request/suggestions that you might consider implementing to the base game play elements. And an example of the sort of situation I'd consider them to be useful for describing. Although your already doing an absolutely fantastic job without these things though, and I'd still be more than willing to support and play the game if you didn't want to go into this much detail and work coding some of these suggestions into the game. :) Also, it's a fairly long list with multiple suggestions, that I actually had to continue in multiple comments, so I'll apologies in advance for throwing all of these at you at once.

      -Adding in a erection state to keep track of that's also tied to arousal and impacts what actions you can undertake at the time. You could use this to prevent penetrative actions until they've reached a certain arousal level and are considered to be erect, or could even be used to represent something along the lines of having an unusually large erection if they were overly aroused. And related to that, you could also add in effects that prevent arousal from dropping below a certain point so they'd always be erect and couldn't actually lose an erection.

      -Now this is probably the suggestion that would require the most work to add into the game, but would you consider giving players more customization options in term of their genitals and go into greater details and limitations based on orifice size/type. Hopefully I can describe the general idea behind this, but the thought is you would segment genitals based on their length so they would be composed of different parts and so you could actually customize each individual part of their genitals. For example you could then add on two different sized knots to a cock or you could actually add a second hymen in a vagina. Another thing that could be done with this, but would require quite a bit of work to write up, is allowing you to apply different stretching effects to each segment of the orifice, so it would be stretched out further by a knot at the entrance than the rest of the orifice itself, or you could now account for an object inflating after it's already penetrated an orifice and stretching out the interior without stretching out the entrance instead. Honestly though, this is probably an overly complicated suggestion of how to implement these ideas, so hopefully you can come up with a far easier solution to use instead.

      -Elasticity, instead of the current system where an orifice will eventually return to it's initial size no matter how far it's stretched out at most levels, could it be changed over so each elasticity level will shrink the orifice by a set value instead of it returning to it's original value with enough time? So, at elasticity 3 let's say an orifice will regain 3 inches over some time period, so the larger the object inserted in it the less resistant it is to stretching out, if you went from 6 inches in length to 9 inches then it wouldn't be any change at all to your average length, but if you went from 6 to 12 inches you would be stretched out to 9 inches as your average from now on. In effect, elasticity would act as extra padding or armor value, and you would suffer the effect for any stretching beyond what your elasticity value protects you against.

      -Girth, you've probably heard this one before, but adding in a separate value to account for how thick an object is and stretches out an object width wide instead of length wise would be appreciated, along with expanding upon it a bit more to limit particularity girthy objects in terms of what they can and cannot penetrate. That last part is probably more personal preference, but you should still be able to get around that to an extent by stretching out the orifice with a smaller object first though, using sufficient lubrication, or a combination of both. Adding in a girth mechanic would also allow you to account for things such as a short and girthy cock or a long and thin cock also.

      1. -Pacing, dividing up players actions such as rough fingering or gentle kiss so they can set a different pace for each of their actions instead of forcing the player to use the same pace for all of their actions based on the last pace they selected. It's still nice to be able to change the pace of all of your actions to match each other though with a single button push, so don't completely remove that feature. :)

        -Cum Storage/Production, something along the lines of a mechanic in place to account for how much sperm is lost with each orgasm and stored up, based on a combination of various factors, such as fetishes, arousal level when they orgasm if they were overly aroused or possibly even under aroused, how many previous orgasms they've recently had, or how much sperm they've currently had stored up. It'd probably also be worth adding in some variations to this to account for different liquids so it could be used with water sports, lactation, squirting or if they actually lay eggs with ovipositioning instead.

        -Roleplaying Fetish, an option to switch out the dialogue your character will say during sex based on the outfit they're currently wearing. For example, if you had this fetish and were wearing the full Enforcer Uniform and were receiving the set bonus, then you could pretend to be arresting the NPC for dom content or were overwhelmed by a criminal for sub content instead and get specific dialogue to that effect. Their are a couple of problems with linking the fetish to set bonuses though, so you'd also want to add in an easy way to acquire special outfits to go along with this fetish, such as a fake Enforcers Uniform that would have the same appearance as the Enforcers set of clothing but wouldn't actually provide you with the same stat bonuses.

        Also, thanks for putting in the amount of effort you've already done so for creating this game and actually reading and responding to random comments and suggestions like this one. :)

        Erection state:
        That does sound like a fun mechanic, but I'm concerned that it would make everything exponentially more complicated to write. I'd have to take into account erection status for a lot of the writing, and it might end up being a lot of effort for a minor thing.

        Genital customisation:
        I'm actually working on this right now. I'm going to make a post about it (to explain why Friday's release might be delayed a little), but I decided to add this as a prerequisite to adding save game compatibility. The customisation I'm adding doesn't quite go into the amount of depth you describe, but you'll be able to add a knot/flared head/etc. to penises, as well as customising all orifices with internal tentacles/ribs/muscles. ^^

        Elasticity:
        I'm splitting this up into elasticity (how easy you are to stretch) and plasticity (how much of your orifice recovers) as part of the genital rework. I'll consider changing it to using 'set maximum values' like your suggestion, but I may not have time to implement that just yet. (I'll add it to my list though.)

        Girth:
        I was considering adding girth, but I thought that it might get a little too complex to properly keep track of for all the sex scenes. It will be a lot easier for me to write sex scenes if I can assume a cock's length has an 'appropriate' girth, rather than having to factor that in to all penetrative descriptions.

        Pacing:
        I'm not quite sure what you mean, isn't that already how it works? (Sorry, I haven't had my coffee yet this morning. ^^)

        Cum Storage/Production:
        I was considering putting in 'maximum fluid storage' and 'recover rates' for things like cum, milk, etc., but again, I felt as though it might create too much variation in the writing for comparatively little gain. I might stick with the basic 'you produce x amount of cum at each orgasm' for now. Maybe I'll add amore complex system in the future, if there's enough demand for one.

        Roleplaying fetish:
        I love the idea of this, and I'll add that to my list! ^^

      4. Yeah, as you stated quite a few of those ideas would add to the workload of all of the sex scenes and it's debatable what sort of benefit they'd add in for certain, or even if they'd come up often enough to actually justify them being accounted for in every sex scene. :)

        Pacing:
        So, going to try and go into a bit more detail this time then. But below the players name you'll have a pace for all sex actions on the left side of the screen that is something like the following Dom: Gentle, Normal or Rough. Currently, this pacing option is automatically set and chosen based on the pace of the last action the player selected such as kissing or fingering the NPC and will override the pacing of every action that you selected previously. So if you initially select an option to gently kiss an NPC, but then you select an option to start roughly fingering them, then the game will automatically force you to also start roughly kissing the NPC or the pacing options of all of your actions to automatically match up with each other based on the pacing of the last action you selected. This might suffer from the same issues as most of these other suggestions, but at least I hopefully clarified what I was talking about this time.

      1. Type the word "buggy" during game play will bring up the debug menu, which has several options to that effect. Cheat away.

        You character export file can also be edited using a text editor (even Windows' own Notepad words) if you want. It's not as straight forward as the debug menu, but it's pretty easy to figure out how to mod the file as you need. You'll need the debug menu, though, if you need flame (money).

        I'm not sure if I'll add 'debilitating size' status effects or punishments to the game. I don't want to punish the player for their preferred body type, so that's a bit of a difficult one to try and add.

    27. Crash hear, I think something's up with gender pronouns in the latest hotfix. Either that or traps are no longer called traps and are just called "Man" regardless of settings or feminity level. Not sure, I'm out of town so haven't really been able to give this release a good stress test, hence why I'm not even signed in.

      Maybe the change to starting body breast size for androgynous males did that since they no start with a flat chest? Either way, manually modifying the custom pronouns for players seems to change nothing, which might be a bigger problem if it's just not working at all like it should. Just FYI.

    28. Just want to say that the chastity cage is my favorite thing to be put in the game so far!

      It's such a small thing but I can't stress how much I love the fact that even in a dominant position a male character still has to resort to alternate measures to get their rocks off. It's like I can feel the frustration and my god if that just isn't just so fucking hot.

      I doubt you've even considered how much off a game changer this might be for some people (or maybe just me) but really, thanks!
